Child Of Mine

Mother, daughter, sister,
How was it like to grow up in this shell,
Screaming your way through life,
Hoping someone hears you,
Someone listening, shouting back replies...

I have no secrets,
Just my flaws,
My character my own,
Wishing to go back to the way I was,
Stereotypes ruin you,
They make you so fake,
All you punks and goths shouting out 'PREPS',
But what are you?
You talk about hating conformity,
You've conformed to the non conformists,
This is hell, and we all know it is,
Waking up early putting on your game face,
Putting on your shoes,
They match your stereotype, no thought from you...

Your hands on my waist,
Pulling me down over you,
Hands through your hair,
Wanting you more,
Back against the wall,
You're pushing me up,
Holding me tight,
Needing all...

You have a choice,
I love you so,
Me or him,
Wait for me, lover,
We'll make it last,
I still want you,
But where have you gone, oh love of mine,
You're off with another,
And you don't think of me,
You pull her in,
And push me out,
Still grasping on,
It's over...

Sitting on the floor,
The tap running cool,
A hand over my stomach,
A life inside me,
I promise to look after you,
As these tears roll down,
I'll keep you safe,
Pull you in,
Teach you love,
Show you the world,
All alone on this tiled floor,
All alone in life,
But atlest I will have you,
I'll have these arms for you to embrace,
I'll the comfort of a mothers touch,
I'll have the warmth only one woman can give,
I'll have the tears when you are feeling down,
And the strenght to pick you back up,
The laughter inside me to show it's you that makes me happy,
The words of wisdom when you need some care,
I'll have everything you need,
Except a fathers hand...
