My World

Some people lay in streams,
floating forever in eternity's dreams.
Staring at the stars going by,
til the night gentily dies.
Longing for things that will never be,
never opening their eyes to really see.
Hoping and dreaming for other things,
never happy with what life brings.
But not me, I live life day to day,
enjoying things as they come my way.
Share with me, my life,
no, i'm not asking to be your wife.
Sit and talk with me a spell,
find a reason within to dwell.
Join my world and lets be friends,
for you never know when it ends.
Maybe then when i'm dead and gone,
through my poetry and words,
in you, I will still live on...
