siren's song second verse

from my perch above the sea
a soft song comes to me
and there in the phosphorescence foam
a vision singing me home.

yes, I know it is a vision from deep within,
for she would never begin
to lure me with a siren's song
but bade me to stay where I belong.

and yet her voice is warm and clear
and it sweetly caresses my ear
it is her without a doubt
I feel my spirit begin to move about

I see her face, I see her form
I long for her arms, strong and warm.
glowing there in the phosphoric foam
open wide to welcome me home

Dragondancer, Faery Bride
at whose death, I vainly tried
to follow cross the river Stix
but could nay pass the Boatman's tricks.

for then she turned me back to my own life
her rejection more painful than the stab of the knife
but her message clear and plain
I would have to bear my own pain

it goes against my common sense
to believe that she would commence
to sing me to her arms once more
but yet there she is, calling me from my cave above the shore

now I sit at the edge of my cave
my feet swing free high above the ocean wave
and all I have to do is fall
and answer to the Siren's call.
