As I walked along my path today
The Great Mother walked along with me
"You work too hard at making your life difficult".
She replied as we strolled 'neath a red oak tree.
"I ask not a sacrifice, and neither does your mate,
just explore the many things that individualize her,
experiment and become as one with them,
then with knowledge and wisdom, find the ones that you prefer.
Build upon the common ones, something that you can share.
leave the others to her, for her personal self.
Celebrate her varied differences
for they are just as important as the many things you share.
Like a cool dip on a warm day, or a tart sauce with a sweet dish
we always need to have balance and support.
When two people come together I wanted there to be growth,
but if both are identical there can be no change.
The process of choosing , combining, accepting and rejecting
are the exercises that makes things grow.
If I wanted everything to agree
would I have created such a variety"?
