There are certain landmarks in my personality that help me make sense of passing time, changing geography, and new faces. I paint. Watercolors, oils, landscapes, portraits. I ride a motorcycle. My grandmother had a motorcycle in Berlin in her twenties, and I feel closer to her when I ride. I write. Poetry, stories, thought progressions, letters. I grew up in a city, surrounded by layers of concrete and people, but have spent time in the woods and desert, alone with the sky.
