Wisdom from the Bathroom Walls

These quotes really did come from the bathroom walls on the University of Texas - Austin campus. The first quote is from Aristotle but the rest of them are just words from students. Also, some of the quotes are taken out of context, but I believe they still get their point across. I would also like to point out that I may not agree with some of the quotes, but I did feel they have a good point. Enjoy!

"It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain an idea without accepting it."
~Aristotle

"Speak with your actions."

"Let your life speak or it will be spoken for."

"One day your life will flash before your eyes. Make sure it's worth watching!"

"Looking for the beauty in what surrounds you will bring out the best in yourself."

"When our anscestors came to America, it was to escape religious tyranny. Why do we still have to put up with it?"

"I would rather live and suffer than never exist."

"Understand the loveliness of IRONY!"

"By the time you swear you're his,
Shivering and sighing,
And he vows his passion is,
Infinite, undying,
Lady make a note of this
One of you is lying."

"You are ill advised to be a woman in this country..." "...or poor, malnourished, and ignored. Rather be a dead fetus than forgotten, hated, mistreated, and left to a public that doesn't care once you're born. Why don't we take care of the children already here than focus on making decisions for women and their bodies, and babies they don't want or can't support? How about educating them and teens to avoid those pregnancies before the happen?"

And last but not least...

"Wow, bathroom politics. Remember the good old days - back in high school, that is - when there'd just be a simple note about who secretly loves who? Now it's abortion, feminism, and Jesus Christ. Who needs an education worth thousands of dollars when you just take a sh** at a university campus! God bless the educational agenda!"
