Swiftly Moving Water
Swiftly moving water
Moving down the banks
Falling over the rocks
While a child sits and thinks
The sun closes on the hilltops
The clouds drifting slowly by
Water coming to a sudden stop
As the waterfall is seen by the child’s eye
He sees a deer
Stopping for a drink
As a leaf falls gently
From a towering willow tree
He closes his eyes
And still sees the deer
As he lays down
To see what he would hear
Swiftly moving water
