| Now the dark night is over, |
| My soul does feel much burned, |
| Burned wit the love of my Jesus, |
| For whom I have always yearned. |
| This journey which I have taken, |
| In which I felt misery, |
| Has strengthened my love and devotion |
| For the blessed trinity. |
| Oh so much joy for my heart and my soul, |
| Knowing that God is once more in control |
| I have come come into the daylight, |
| I've waited - I've persevered |
| Knowing that others before me |
| Suffered, believed - and then served. |
| So I pray in thanksgiving |
| For all the graces You send, |
| I trust and have faith in You, Abba, |
| 'Til my life on earth does end. |
| Oh so much joy for my heart and soul |
| Knowing that God is once more in control. |
