about
dancing girl press, an independent publisher, was founded in 2004 to publish and promote the work of women poets through chapbooks, journals, and anthologies. We seek to publish work that bridges the gaps between schools and poetic techniques--work that's fresh, innovative, and exciting. Formed as an print subsidiary of the online zine wicked alice, the press strives to represent the spirit of a variety of styles of approaching this thing called "poetry" and all it entails. Our books are available via our website, at select indie bookstores, and through author readings.
