Watch the time fly as if it has somewhere to go,
Watch a life slip away and hide in the shadows of yesterday.
Never more knowing when the end will come,
But positive it is closer today than days gone by.
Rejoicing in breaks in the clouds,
Never realizing the shadows being cast on other realities.
Belief in some causes skepticism in others,
Wondering why light causes darkness.
Having the need to understand and even comprehend,
That is the greatest downfall of every man.
Leaving questions with no answers,
The wonder of why time doesn’t have the patience to wait for any man.
Pondering and speaking of the hope for Innocence,
Never realizing the area of gray lands between the shades of black and white.
