Once I risked all I had and I miscued my shot

Then it all turned out bad and I'd lost all I got

I looked in my kitty and took stock thereof

And the only thing left were my Faith, Hope and Love...

 

I'd tried an I'd failed more than I'd care to count.

I threw high on the rail and I surely crapped out

Now, I play my hand deftly when push comes to shove,

So I had one last look at my Faith, Hope and Love...

 

I'm in the big game now and these stakes are high

The pot ain't the same, if I lose I'll sure die

I press on with caution; see what I'm made of

I've run out of options, save Faith, Hope and Love...

 

So I say a small prayer and I play like a man

Hope to God for a spare ace or two in my hand

I'm down to my blessings from Heaven above

Now here I go betting my Faith, Hope and Love...
