bending space and time until they no longer matter to me.

you love nothing more than to fly in my face

tempting, tormenting, mocking me...

while people laugh to themselves, watching me scour the earth for you.

 

Sadistic love,

I hunt you in vain like the unicorn,

running after you, determined and convinced

that you really do exist, when all evidence points to the contrary.

 

Cruel love,

I know when I finally approach you gently, humbly

and throw myself at your feet, begging you to accept me as I am,

you'll laugh hysterically, kick me in the face and fly away.
