There are those for whom it's hard to know what life is all about

and also those who aren't content to watch it fizzle out.

They live their dreams and spread their wings and test life every day

and know that none of us on earth is ever here to stay.

 

It's easy to discount their lives as nothing more than fun.

But then again, they are the men who we'd all love to call "son".

They fly and soar and stretch their bounds until they can no more

then fall to earth, relive their birth and walk through heaven's door.

 

And in their wake some people stop to think and until they see,

they open up our eyes and hearts from "is" to "what could be".

To wit, they have indeed accomplished something more than most.

as generations later people learn from such a ghost.

 

Whenever people gather now, the seeds they'll tend to sow.

As years go by, no wonder why these legends grow and grow.

And in them is a moral that each person understands,

That anything is possible... if you just believe you can.
