-Gastropodia-
Wherever you go, you are at home,
nowhere on earth that you can't roam.
On your little back, your house you bear
and you can survive most anywhere.
From ocean's depths to mountaintop
you leave your trail, you rarely stop.
Steadily, slowly on you creep,
pausing now and then to sleep.
To some you're slow, you hardly move
to me you've got so little to prove.
My diminutive friend, how strong you are
daring as Joan and braver by far.
Past the abyss, into the unknown
you'll travel so surely with your tiny home.
Snail, someday soon I hope to see
you wandering here to visit me.
