One Year Today

The day you asked me to date you was like a dream.
There are so many things I need to say.
I miss you more than anything I have ever been
apart from.
We let our feeling be known to everyone a year ago
today.
The days seem to have wings;
With the grace of a great eagle they fly away.
Time is slipping from my hands with the speed of
the river's water roaring over the rocks of a
waterfall.
It has already been one year today.
My life is wandering on down the chosen path
Trying to find a promising way.
I see your image holding its own somewhere in the
mists of my future.
One year of our precious time together has said
good-bye to the both of us today.
I can't control my mind sometimes.
I woke this morning to realize my thoughts were
astray.
Stopping to find themselves bound into the past.
One year has been marked on our timeline today.
My thoughts are lost
Deep within a life turned dull and gray,
But sweet memories of you always bring a smile-
The memories from a year ago today.
My lonely tears may leave signs of their presence,
But my heart will still be okay.
Even if you aren't here with me I believe you are
thinking just as intently as I am.
Don't you remember: a year has passed by today.
I can wait for you through each change that will
come along in my life
If you promise that you will stay.
Please don't let go of the hope that your heart
still holds inside;please don't give up on me.
We've made it through one year today.
You learn this lesson and keep it for life when
you find someone so special:
Loving someone so much and giving away your heart
can leave a big price to pay,
But I'm fully prepared for whatever it may be.
I'm not ready or willing to give up after hanging
on with the strength of my heart for one year today.
I won't waste the time I have left.
No one is promised another day.
I love you with all my heart, and I hope we have a
long future together
After this one year marked by today.
