A little bit about me. I grew up in Chicago, and have been living in Costa Rica since July of 2003. I just started rhymin', writing poetry and freestyles in the summer of 2000. I'm a free thinking open minded person, and detest structured, command and control environments of any kind. I find the "party line" that is being shoved down the throats of the masses highly annoying, and even more disturbing are the weak minded sheep who swallow and follow every last thing they are told they should think, wear, do, and/or be about, ... repeating the bullshit fed to them as if it has been brainwashed into their very being.
My biggest influences have been the many multi-talented people I have met along the way who have served to truly bring out my artistic abilities both spiritually and technically. I love music of all kinds, and have been introduced to so many different underground (non-mainstream) artists recently, rap, hip-hop, rock metal, and alternative, and classical to add to the already wide variety of my favorites which include many of the old school rock, hip-hop, Latin dance and Caribbean artists. I heard classical a lot growing up, because my dad would play it, but I didn't really enjoy it until recently. Music is great, all kinds.
My writings are a reflection of my many moods, some are happy party pieces, but many are very dark. Some are relative to interactions with particular individuals, and may be difficult to understand (if you don't know the people and/or the situations surrounding why they were written). Writing is a release for me, and putting what's troubling me down in print always helps to get it out of my system. I hope you will enjoy what you read, even if you may not be able to relate to it on a personal level.
