In The Fall by Wayne Denio
In the Fall
I planted
Beauty for this future
of blues
for you and me.
Some floral bulbs near the fence, but
not the tree.
How the World can be
You know.
The big
On the small.
Frozen now
I’ll wait, and
Continue
dreaming this
lonely sky in Winter
sending
feelings
to hold.

I Touched The Rail And It Came Off In My Hands
by Riley Black
So this is the way we end,
in the cold, in the snow.
Hold me till I
let you go.
My mind is a disease,
ravaged -
all I see are frozen trees
caught in the image of what was.
We kissed our silent warmth away
and now you spill your thoughts
in breath, iced for ages.
The sky is dead, so grey.
It cannot even cry.
I swear, if I was alive,
I'd leech you
for just one more day.
