I was once invited to go to the beach,
By the most amazing girl you could meet.
The rain dropped from the cloud strewn sky
As we walked, covering us with water.
I could feel the dampness of the ground seeping
Through the sides of my shoes.
As my feet became wet, my problems dispersed from my mind.
The darker clouds rolled into sight and the rain became harder.
Through the fallen water, I could see her.
Her smile lit up my heart
And brought warmth to my feet.
Her eyes connected with mine and created magic.
My blood pumped warm from my heart, warming
Every inch of my body,
Bringing the tingly numbing sensation upon my heart.
Head to toe we became soaked,
Not one article of clothing left unscathed by the water.
The heaviness of our garments slowed our walking,
Weighing down our pace,
But we walked as if we had the world on our shoulders,
We had each other.
Then the realization set in.
I've fallen in love...
