Your life is a house built on uneven land.
Immature sudo-adults seem to have chipped away at the foundation-
Leaving it at an unsteady balance.
Half of the foundation is in tact.
When too much weight is on the other side
You tilt and sway-
Suffering to stay up.
Each day more is chiseled away.
Weathering slowly,
Showing signs of damage.
Each day the foundation becomes less and
You find it harder to keep a steady balance.
And I'm here now,
Capable of holding you,
Supporting you,
Rebalancing you.
And I'm here now,
To fill in what is lost,
To hold you high,
To support you.
And I'm here now,
To fill your voids,
To stabilize your imbalance,
To keep you from tipping.
And here we are,
Me showing my whole at hand and
Ready to be used by you.
And you- uneasy, nervous,
Afraid to trust- for the last foundation was
Suddenly temporary.
For such a beautiful house,
a sturdy support is needed.
The past has not filled the void-
Just left it bigger each time.
And me, able to be pushed,
Pressed, molded in any space,
I want to help.
I want to support you, to hold you,
To rebalance you
Let me in.
Let me help.
