I drown in the thought of you.

I told myself that 'I wouldn't get in over my head.'

But the water was warm.

I warned myself that 'there are other fish in the sea, even other bodies of water.'

But your body was just too appealing,

And the fish have my name scrawled on their hind fins,

Waiting to be caught, flapping their fins, flaunting the invitation,

Beckoning my attention.

I reasoned with myself that 'my ship is yet to come in.'

But the relationship with you was leaving port.

So seep in to my every crevice,

Flood every corner of my brain,

Envelope my mind in thoughts of you,

Take my heart,

Take away the inner-tube.

Because you alone are my lifeline.
