Opportunity
only knocks once.
It
doesn't ring the doorbell
Or
come around to the backyard if no one answers.
It
doesn`t call to tell it's coming over
Or
leave a note saying it was there.
It
raps loudly on your door once
Then
with no answer
Lingers
a minute, waiting for movement
Then
turns and walks away.
It
finds your neighbor and offers him the same chance
To
make the grass greener.
Most
people don't sit around for it to come.
They
try to intercept it on the next street over
But
always fail.
As
for me, I was in the backyard taking out the trash.
I
got back in time to see it walking away.
Perhaps
it will come again and I'll be ready
I'll
sit in my armchair and watch out my window of opportunity
