It Takes Guts

It takes guts to forge on ahead.
In these uncertain times.
It take guts to tell your own when they are wrong.
When it would so much easier just to lie.  
It takes guts to say "no" to what
your friends might consider "cool".
You and I know the real truth.
That smoking, drinking and drugs
are for a fool.
It takes guts to  make it in this world.
My friends do not dismay.
You have the guts that it takes.
Remember it's Independence Day!
