One traveler rests his tired legs,
And lays down his heavying head
Upon the cool desert sands.
Underneath this vast desert bed,
The trickle of streams can be heard,
Beneath a settled, lonesome world.
But when the sun rises,
The waves rise again,
On a waterless beach
Filled with sand.
