Billerica String Orchestra

The Middle School Orchestra consists of students from the Locke Middle School and the Marshall Middle School. All students meet during their respective homeroom and activity periods during the school week. These two "mini" middle school orchestras then combine for a Saturday Rehearsal on a specified Saturday before the concert. After being combine, this orchestra plays a Winter concert and a Spring concert.

Students playing the Middle School Orchestra are eligible to audition for the Junior Northeastern District Orchestra. Students must learn a specific piece as well as scales. Once this piece is chosen, the name of it will be posted on this site. The Northeastern District Orchestra learns separate pieces and plays one concert. For more specifics, visit the Northeastern District MMEA home page located on our links page or contact Ms. Cardella.

Middle School students are also encouraged to seek private lessons outside of school as there are no lessons provided during the school day. This orchestra is purely for academic enrichment. Important Note: The first day of orchestra doesn't start until Ms. Cardella calls everyone down to the cafeteria. For more information, contact Ms. Cardella.

All interested fifth graders are encouraged to join!
