Candlelight
Flickering, dancing
Light surrounds me
Something so insubstantial
Has such a presence
I am soothed and
Comforted by golden shining
Light that makes
Even shadows welcome
In such light, all
Are beautiful, the
Inner self revealed
In the sparkling shimmer
Here, loneliness has
Its own warmth
Silence is not dreaded
But welcome - in this
Silence we hear thoughts
Everything is transformed
Sorrow into joy
Tears into laughter
Solitude into companionship
