YOU'RE STILL MY LOVE

Once, I had fascinated you,
yet now I'm "a bore."
Tell me, has it already come to
"I don't love you, anymore."

When there were so many days
when we'd climbed in the treetops
and camped in the mountains
above all the cloud tops.

Can't you remember?
When I kissed you in the rain,
and you pulled me against you
and said "Do that again."

And can't you remember
when we went to the dance?
and were everyone's envy
when it came to the waltz.

And after the dance
we went back to the apartment
and I'd said "slow down!"
because you were tearing my jacket,

And that first night we slept,
together, arms 'round,
falling asleep,
to each others' sounds,
and in the morning we woke
to each others' eyes,
and knew that was we wanted to
for the rest of our lives.
So tell me how you forgot
and how you fell out of love
because I know that I'm sure that
you're still my love.

This whole poem was inspired by the first line, whose concept came from a poem called "Little dove" by mlytha. That poem had the line "that once fascinated you so" in it (referring to themself).
