YARN HEART

I have a heart made of yarn,
soft and fuzzy
coiled around a pocket of air.
I can give you the end to unravel.
If you stay near me, my heart will remain whole.
But if you wander and stray,
it will unwind
and I will be left with a hollow in my chest.
What will you do?

Had originally thought out first few lines, and had not planned on ending with a question.
Originally it was also past tense (I have given you the end to unravel) and first line was originally "My heart is made of yarn".
The last line could be removed if the poem is made past tense again.
It's loosely based on Allison, since right now we're having "tentativity" problems where I'm already attached to her to the point of severe depression if she leaves.
She's uncomfortable (uncertain?) of being more than friends even though she likes me that way, so is trying to decide between being more than friends, just friends, or nothing.
She's neglecting me a bit, because of other things going on in her life where she moved - bad work hours, and spending time with friends there.
It's reminiscent of what happened with Katie so it scares me.
