She said
"How can you look at me
with those eyes like that?"
And I said:
"these are the swords I draw
when my heart is attacked.

You have butchered it
and lacerated it
and exascerbated it
with your words and knives,

and when I couldn't
take it anymore,-
now I look at you
with these eyes- (warily, angrily)
every time you're near."
