I saw the sunsets in her eyes, but I mistook them for sunrises. I saw the beautiful pinks, purples, and blues shading her eyes and dashing down her cheeks and ridges,- and I thought she could be the dawn of my life- The end of "The Long Night." Only later did I realize that she was the last nail in the coffin. |
