I am a ghost of myself No longer always smiling with a charisma that carried for miles. No longer always on time and good at everything that I was known for. No longer ambitious enough to throw in anchor to the heavens and pull it down to myself. Instead I am just a shell walking with lackluster ambitions in my work life and my personal life, striving no higher than polenta. When you took my heart, you didn't realize it would turn me into a ghost. You didn't realize the rest of me needed it to live, too. |
