These poems were written during my choir concert (5/14/03), mostly on me and Katie.

ORANGE BLOSSOMS FALL WITH THE WIND

Orange Blossoms fall with the wind,
sheets are torn from their pages,
the black lines go gray
even as the color fades.
Another season is fading
and with its end goes the wind.
His presence ever furtive,
ever escaping and elusive.
The light shines,
he is gone.

I think I was.. thinking that I'd have to... disappear for noble causes.

THE GIRL IN THE LEATHER JACKET

The girl in the leather jacket
flings back her hair,
and their eyes meet.
There's a glint in her eyes.
She loves him. He'll miss her.

In the poem above, I'm actually the "she" and Katie's the "he"

I WOULD NOT LOVE ANOTHER

I caress your cheek
even as the sword runs through my breast.
Can you see the light in your eyes?
I can.
I love you.
Even as the ethereal winds blow through my hair,
i would not love another.
Even as the last dawn's twilight
leaves the being of my eyes glintless,
I would not love another.
Even as my soul is passing
and as I'm leaving (forever),
I would not love another.
