Greedy children welcome the weak with moonlit buds and bitter wines.

The sky is like glass.

I hear mad laughter from behind me.

Thousands of shards fall all around us.

I take sips of the sky through my nose,

And breathe in the light fog around me.

In my corner,

I begin pushing it through my veins.

No one knows.

A celebration begins.

We dance through the fire,

And race toward the moon.

The ancient ones have been left to burn in the hills.

My own thoughts are now powerless.

I know now that I can never leave.

This is where I belong.

Mother watches.

She knows my rage,

Can feel my past.

A single tear falls to her feet.

She looks over my shoulder as I dance,

And can see my fate.

She calls out a warning.

I ignore her cries.

Doesn't she know it is too late?

That her daughter is already dead?

The fat obscene young boy killed her years ago.

One-day mother will see.

I am forever lost.

I have given up.

The boy won't stop and I won't come down.

I take another sip of the crystal sky,

And continue dancing.

But she knows the truth.

It is not too late.

A cold, indifferent hand brushes my shoulder.

She screams.

I look up,
