The Law & Order/Guiding Light Connection

I will be the first to admit it, I watch too much T.V.

Two of my Long-term TeleVices (as I like to call them) have been the long-running soap Guiding Light, and the Emmy-award winning cop show/court drama Law & Order.
Now having been blessed with a near-photographic memory, a knack for paying attention to detail, and frankly, too much damn time on my hands, it has come to my attention that these two shows, again which happen to be two of my favorites, have quite a bit in common, mainly the number of actors who have appeared in each. At my last count there was at least two dozen, if you count the two L&O spin-offs, Special Victims Unit, and Criminal Intent. Here are just a few examples...

David Andrew Macdonald

DAM played Mickey in the L&O episode "Out of COntrol". Now plays reformed Black Prince and Stager of Military coups Edmund Winslow

Stephanie Gaschet

On GL she is perennial good-girl, who gets in trouble even though her heart is in the right place, Tammy Winslow. On L&O she was hostile witness Matty Helder in "Girl Most Likely"

John Fiore

The only person to play a regular role on both shows, John Fiore went from playing Detective Tony Profacci, all-round Gofer of the 27th Precinct, to playing nutjob Mob Boss Vinnie Salerno this year on GL
