To drink of the water that has flowed since the Dawn-
To drink of the water that has flowed from Helicon-
To drink of the water that dragonflies alight on-
That is my ambition.

To bathe in the water that unicorns have purified-
To bathe in the water where the souls of selkies sighed-
To bathe in the water that the glinting sunbeams ride-
That is my ambition.

To drink of the water where the Argonauts have sailed-
To drink of the water where the naaids' hair has trailed-
To drink of the water where have swum fish silver-mailed-
That is my ambition.

To bathe in the water that has seen King Arthur pass-
To bathe in the water that has grown Pegasus's grass-
To bathe in the water that gleams more fair than glass-
That is my ambition.
