Life in the 415

"It's an odd thing, but anyone who disappears is said to be seen in San Francisco. It must be a delightful city and possess all the attractions of the next world" - Oscar Wilde

Random weather, but always beautiful...

I haven't been in a creative "writing" mood in a while. Not just writing down my daily activities, but writing poetic verses too. Just not feelin' it. Maybe I've lost my muse...but what exactly was my muse before? Hmm. Ho hum. Ya know, I'm thinking of either making this site completely different or deleting it altogether. I haven't decided. This year was definitely better than last year, but I'm looking forward to moving on. Each year I get closer to myself and what I really want out of my life and realize who I want in my life...hence that peeling back the layers M.C. Escher Rind photo on my opening page. Some of the people I've met in my life make me so happy that I can't imagine what my life was like before them and can't imagine my life now without them. I'm so in love with life right now it's insane. So, 2006 here we come.

Everyone have a Happy New Year and I'll see ya on the flipside.

MAY I QUOTE YOU?? OUI OUI...QUOTE ON...

“Love, for Eluard, is always present; it dominates his loneliness, and even when absent from the woman he loves, he is possessed by love...Eluard does not submit himself to love as a ritual. Rather, he seeks to be more aware of love as the metaphysical center of his universe and his being.”

"I search for you beyond waiting
Beyond myself
And I love you so much I no longer know
Which one of us is absent."
- Paul Eluard (French poet)

"How frail the human heart must be-- a mirrored pool of thought...and by the way, everything in life is writable about if you have the outgoing guts to do it, and the imagination to improvise. The worst enemy to creativity is self-doubt." - Sylvia Plath

"I've had to experience so much stupidity, so many vices, so much error, so much nausea, disillusionment, so much sorrow, just in order to become a child again and begin anew." - Siddhartha

"Do I contradict myself? Very well then, I contradict myself. I am large...I contain multitudes." - Walt Whitman

"Bombing for peace is like fucking for virginity" - Unknown

"I drank to drown my pain, but the damned pain learned how to swim. Now I am overwhelmed by this decent and good behavior." - Frida Khalo
