Deb Goldberg’s victory Nov. 4 in the race for Massachusetts State Treasurer makes her the first Jewish woman to hold statewide office. She will succeed Steve Grossman who lost his own bid for governor. Said Grossman, who was at Goldberg’s victory party, “I’m proud to be succeeded by Deb Goldberg… Deb will bring the values of social and economic justice to the Treasurer’s office as she seeks to empower all of our Commonwealth’s residents.”
