Hi! I just ran across this list. Is someone saying that George Bush Jr. is against Jews and had something to do with Nazism? Or is this about George Bush Sr.?

Kathryn, it is amazing that so few people know about the Bush-Nazi connection (which is how they made their family fortune). The issue is not so much that they did it, abhorrent as that is, since many other prominent American families did as well (Rockefellers, Kennedys, Lindbergh). Rather, it is that they have never renounced or even admitted it, and also, that their Nazi sympathies continued after World War II. Today, W speaks at Holocaust memorial ceremonies with Nazi change jingling in his pockets. He and his family have freely used the Nazi money which started up the Bush Texas oil concerns. It stemmed from a 1.5 million (each) settlement his grandfather and great uncle, Prescott and Sam Bush, received following the forced dissolution of their Union Banking company in 1942 after they were tried for treason under the Trading with the Enemy Act under FDR’s administration and Harry Truman’s Senate. Loftus (who was the US Dept. of Justice Nazi War Crimes Prosecutor in the 1950s, and is the President of the Florida Holocaust Museum) and Aarons spell out how Herbert "Bert" Walker and his son-in-law, Prescott Bush, worked on behalf of the Nazis after the US had gone to war against Germany.

2) Webster G. Tarpley and Anton Chaitkin's George Bush: the Unauthorized Biography (http://www.tarpley.net/bushb.htm)

Anton Chaitkin is the son of New York attorney Jacob Chaitkin, whom the American Jewish Congress hired as the legal director of the boycott against Nazi Germany. He who took the cases of many different bondholders who rejected the swindle by Harriman, Bush, Warburg, and Hitler. Representing a women who was owed $30 on an old steamship bond--and opposing John Foster Dulles in New York municipal court--Chaitkin threatened a writ from the sheriff, tying up the 30,000 ton transatlantic liner Europa until the client received her $30. (New York Times, January 10, 1934, p. 31 col. 3).

Chapter II - The Hitler Project

Tarpley and Chaitkin cite many documents confirming the thesis. Specifically, they use Vesting Order 248 (1942) as evidence that the US Government considered the Union Banking Corporation as working on behalf of the enemy (Germany). Tarpley and Chaitkin also footnote documents confirming that Prescott Bush was the director of the Union Banking Corporation.

Maybe you’ve heard about it. Maybe it wouldn’t surprise you. Maybe you’re just curious.

But three books, varied newspaper series, court records, convictions and correspondence attest to a definite link between the Bush family and the Nazis.

The Sarasota Herald Tribune, in November 2000, reported the president of the Florida Holocaust Museum’s statement that George W. Bush's grandfather derived a portion of his personal fortune through his affiliation with a Nazi-controlled bank.

US Justice Department Nazi War Crimes Prosecutor John Loftus, who authored many books published by St. Martin’s including "Unholy Trinity: The Vatican, The Nazis and the Swiss Banks" (1992) and along with Mark Aarons, "The Secret War Against the Jews: How Western Espionage Betrayed the Jewish People" (1994) and an upcoming one on Jonathan Pollard), was also quoted: "That's where the Bush family fortune came from: It came from the Third Reich." Dirty dealings are chronicled in Webster G. Tarpley and Anton Chaitkin’s entirely downloadable "George Bush: The Unauthorized Biography".

Here’s the deal, so to speak.

Prescott Bush, W’s grandfather, was a principal in New York’s Union Banking Corporation from the late 1930’s-1940’s. This bank was owned by key Nazi industrialists, who funneled money into it through another bank located in Holland. "Union Banking," says Toby Rogers, who wrote a five-part series last year on Bush-Nazi ties for the Greenwich Village Gazette series, "became an ‘out and out Nazi money-laundering machine.’ "

In 1942, when George Sr. was an 18-year-old naval pilot in training, the US government under FDR ordered Prescott’s banking operations seized under the Trading With the Enemy Act, as Prescott and Sam Bush were tried for treason. The stocks of three Nazi executives, Prescott Bush, and three associates were vested.

Nonetheless, when the bank was liquidated in 1951, W’s grandfather and great-grandfather each received $1.5 million in proceeds. This is what is believed made up the bulk, if not all, of the Bush family fortune. The powerful partners in these ignoble ventures are reputedly those who boosted the Bushes into the CIA and government positions.

Other actions followed; the US government seized three more Nazi front organizations run by the bank. However, they were too late; Bush’s family had already centrally financed and armed Hitler and the Nazi war industries.

The web of secret operations, dirty deals and cronyism detailed in the above books can be recounted only briefly here. William Stamps Farish, president of Standard Oil, later known as Exxon, opened up the Auschwitz slave labor camp with Chairman Walter C. Teagle (a pal of Henry Ford) in collaboration with I.G. Farben on June 14, 1940. Jews, used to produce artificial rubber and gasoline from coal, were worked to near death and then murdered. Farish’s grandson, W.S. Farish III, served as George Bush’s money manager. Farish later formed the Humble Oil Company of Texas.

Neil Bush, of BCCI fame, was named after Neil Dresser, business associate of Standard.

The roster of Prescott Bush business associates, from his father-in-law George Herbert Walker (one of Hitler’s biggest US supporters), Fritz Thyssen ($1M Hitler financier later convicted in Nuremberg), Averell Harriman (Mussolini negotiator, supplier of $50M in German bonds to US investors), Brown Brothers execs (long involved in slave cotton trading), Kurt von Schroeder (treasurer of Nazi Party private armies), John Foster Dulles (international attorney for dozens of Nazi enterprises and later Republican US Secretary of State, helping propel Prescott into Senatorhood), reads like a Hitler CEO board meeting.

Of course, the Bushes were not alone. The Rockefellers and Kennedys also profited from financial dealings with Nazis. It has always been all too easy to hide money in multinational funds. "They behave like pirates," says Loftus. "They don’t care about ideology; they care about money."

But the Bush Nazi sympathies continued after the war.

The Washington Jewish Week of Sept. 8, 1988 condemned several of George Bush Sr.’s campaign’s Ethnic Advisory Committee members as "well known anti-Semites and pro-fascists." Quoted were Henry Siegman, executive director of the AJC, Albert Vorspan of the Union of American Hebrews, Michael Miller of the JCRC and Abraham Foxman of the ADL, who cited Jerome Brentar, who associated with Holocaust denial groups, Ignatius Billinsky, involved with Nazi apologists, Florian Galdau, described by Simon Wiesenthal as "the leader of a Romanian pro-Nazi and anti-Semitic movement in NYC", Philip Guarino, another known anti-Semite, and Laszlo Pasztor, an official in the Hugarian government anti-Semitic agency Arrow Cross. Alan Dershowitz jumped in.

Their pressure paid off; eight Nazi sympathizers subsequently resigned from the Bush committee (four, not surprisingly, were back working for the party by 1989).

Another persistent rumor, long circulated around Yale University and discussed by Ron Rosenbaum in September 1977’s Esquire magazine, is the presence of Hitler’s silverware among hidden relics of the Skull and Bones society. In varied interviews of Bonesmen, this has never been definitively denied.

George Upson Waller, a contemporary of George Sr., changed the subject when asked. "Someone told me Maureen Dowd wrote an article about GW Bush’s substance abuse in his youth. I said I didn’t realize he had enough substance to abuse."

Bush Lectures At Holocaust Museum Despite His Family's Sordid Nazi Past

Bush visited DC's Holocaust Museum Wednesday, where he made statements about the importance of remembering the horror of the Holocaust. But Bush did not apologize for -- let alone even acknowledge -- his own family's long history of Nazi alliances. Before WWII, his grandfather Prescott Bush and his great-grandfather Bert Walker set up a series of front companies with Nazi industrialists, including the notorious Thyssen family and IG Farben -- best known for supplying gas for the camp ovens.

Eventually, Prescott Bush's companies' assets were seized under the Trading with the Enemy Act in 1942, when our troops were days away from fighting the Nazis in Africa. In 1980 the Bush network was linked to Nazi Klaus Barbie's Bolivian coup. In 1988, journalist Russ Bellant exposed the presence of old Nazi collaborators in the Bush presidential campaign. The real story of George Bush starts well before he launched his own career. It goes back to the 1920s, when the Dulles brothers and the other pirates of Wall Street were first making their deals with he Nazis.

To understand Bush's role as a senior official of the Republican Party, as head of the CIA, as US vice president and then ultimately in White House it is important to trace the Bush Family s right back to the beginning of the secret espionage war against the Jews.

George Bush's problems were inherited from his namesake and maternal grandfather, George Herbert "Bert" Walker, (Note the W. in George W. Bush stands for Walker, George W. Bush is named for George Herbert "Bert"Walker, as is his father, the former US President George Herbert Walker Bush.) a native of St. Louis, who founded the banking and investment firm of G.H.Walker and Company in 1900. Later the company shifted from St.Louis to the prestigious address of 1 Wall Street."

"Grandfather Walker" came from a devout Catholic family. Walker was one of Hitler's most powerful financial supporters in the United States. The relationship went all the way back to 1924, when Fritz Thyssen, the German industrialist, was financing Hitler's infant Nazi party. Some Americans made their connections to Germany through Allen Dulles's firm of Sullivan and Cromwell because they supported fascism. The Dulles brothers arranged American investments in Nazi Germany in the 1930s to ensure that their clients did well out of the German economic recovery.

"Dulles clearly emphasized projects for Germany and for Mussolini's fascist state. All told, these and more than a dozen similar transactions had a combined value in excess of a billion dollars. Sullivan and Cromwell was not the only firm engaged in funding Germany.

According to THE SPLENDID BLOND BEAST, Christopher Simpson's seminal history of the politics of genocide and profit, Brown Brothers, Harriman was another bank that specialized in investments in Germany. The key figure in the firm was Averill Harriman. Some of his allies who also served on the firm's board included Robert Lovett, who worked closely with James Forrestal to lead the State Department's revolt against Truman's pro-Zionist policy during the UN debate on the partition of Palestine, and George Bush's father Prescott, who later became a US Senator.

The firm originally was known as W.A. Harriman and Company. The link between Harriman and Company's American investors and Thyssen started in the 1920s, through the Union Banking Corporation, which began trading in 1924. In just one three year period the Harriman firm sold more than $50 million of German bonds to American investors.

In 1926 Bert Walker made Prescott (Bush) vice president of W.A. Harriman. Walker's specialty was companies that traded with Germany. As Thyssen and the other German industrialists consolidated Hitler's political power in the 1930s, an American financial connection was needed. Union Banking became an out and out Nazi money laundering machine. (Prescott) Bush specialized in British investors in Nazi Germany, while Walker handled the Americans.

Walker also set up a deal to take over the North American operations of the Hamburg-Amerika line, a cover for I.G. Farben's Nazi espionage unit in the United States. The shipping line smuggled in German agents, propaganda, and money for bribing American politicians to see things Hitler's way.

The holding company was Walker's American Shipping and Commerce, which shared the offices at 39 Broadway with Union Banking. Harrimnan and Company merged to become Brown Brothers, Harriman, Prescott Bush became one of the senior partners of the new company, which relocated to 59 Broadway, while Union Banking remained at 39 Broadway.

In 1934 Walker arranged to put his son-in-law (Note Prescott Bush, father of former President Bush is the son-in-law referred to.) on the board of directors of Union Banking. Harriman's stock in American Shipping and Commerce was controlled by yet another holding company, the Harriman Fifteen Corporation, run out of Walker's office. The directors of this company were Averill Harriman, Bert Walker and Prescott Bush.

A 1934 Congressional investigation alleged that Walker's 'Hamburg-Amerika Line subsidized wide range of pro-Nazi propaganda efforts both in Germany and the United States'. Standard Oil of New Jersey had completed a major stock transaction with Dulles's Nazi client I.G. Farben.

By the end of January 1937 Dulles had merged all his cloaking activities into one client account: 'Brown Brothers Harriman-Schroeder Rock'. Schroeder of course, was the Nazi bank on whose board Dulles sat. The 'Rock' were the Rockefellers of Standard Oil, who were already coming under scrutiny for their Nazi deals.

The US Government charged (former President Bush's ) father (Prescott Bush) with running Nazi front groups in the United States Under the Trading with the Enemy Act all the shares of the Union Banking Corporation were seized, including those held by Prescott Bush as being in effect held for enemy nationals. Union Banking, of course, was an affiliate of Brown Brothers, Harriman, and Bush handled the Harrimans' investments as well.

Once the government had its hands on Bush's books the whole story of the intricate web of Nazi front organizations began to unravel. A few days later 2 of Union Banking's subsidiaries Holland American Trading Corporation and the Seamless Steel Equipment Corporation-also were seized.

The government went after the Harriman Fifteen Corporation, which Bush shared with his father-in-law Bert Walker, the Hamburg-Amerika line, and the Silesian-American Corporation. The US Government found that huge sections of Prescott Bush's empire had been operated on behalf of Nazi Germany and had greatly assisted the German war effort."
