In 1983 Vancouver's Payola$ followed up their commercially successful album No Stranger To Danger with their fourth studio release, Hammer On A Drum. The album produced four singles, one of which was "Christmas Is Coming". Backed with "I'll Find Another (Who Can Do It Right)", another single from the album, the "Christmas Is Coming" 12 inch single (pictured at right) was released on seasonally festive green vinyl. In 1995, the song was also included on a rock/new wave Christmas compilation CD entitled The Edge Of Christmas, alongside seasonal offerings from such other artists as the Pretenders, Kate Bush, the Ramones and Queen.
