I still haven't gotten my guitar into the shop, but I figured that in the meantime I might as well reattach the troublesome string to the peg, and get some work done. 1969 was undoubtedly the biggest chart year for Creedence Clearwater Revival. The band released three albums, all of which went Top Ten and achieved multi-platinum status. They also released a total of seven singles, three of which reached #2 on the pop charts, and one which climbed to #3.
The last of these three albums, issued in November, was Willy & The Poor Boys. It was CCR's fourth studio album, and it became a double platinum seller. The first single, "Down On the Corner", told the story of the fictional band of the album title, and it became a #3 hit, also being certified double platinum. Tabbed here are the Intro and the Instrumental Break.
