Topic: New Chords Postings
Tonight has taken on a bit of a Quebec theme for me. I spent most of the evening watching the Montreal Canadiens' home opener, complete with all the ceremonies marking the beginning of the team's 100th season. And even though the game nearly got away (Bruins tied it in the last minute), the Habs won it in a shootout.
So, in keeping with the theme, today's chord chart posting is "Lovin' You Ain't Easy" by Quebec singer/songwriter Michel Pagliaro. This was, of course, one of his English language hits. It's from the album Pagliaro, although saying that doesn't really narrow things down. A check of the discography page on his website shows he has about five albums called "Pagliaro". But this is the one from 1971. The song also appears on his greatest hits CD Hit Parade (pictured).
Pagliaro was the first Canadian performer to earn gold records in both official languages, and earlier this year (May) he received the Governor General's Performing Arts Award, a lifetime achievement award.
