BLOG GLITCH

It's starting to become clear to me that I have a bit of a blog glitch going on right now. I don't know what's causing it. My blog is set up so that I get an automatic e-mail notification any time someone leaves a comment for one of the postings. But recently the e-mails haven't been coming.

A few days ago I noticed a comment left on the blog, and I knew that I hadn't been notified about it. Last night I left a response to that comment on the blog. Usually, when I do that I get a notification, because I get e-mailed about any comment left, even my own. But again, there was no notification of a comment left. Then just about an hour ago, I noticed another comment left on Monday in the Headpins posting that I'm only noticing now because I didn't receive an e-mail notification. So that's three times now I haven't been notified about comments.

I checked my settings and they seem to be the same as always (a check in the box that asks me if I want auto e-mail notification about any blog comments left). So I'm not sure what the problem is, but I hope it gets resolved soon.

Sorry for any delay in getting back to people about their comments. Until such time as I start receiving auto e-mails again, I'll check the blog first hand on a daily basis to see if comments have been left. (I'll check the previous five or so posts each day, as well as the requests posting.) Bear with me. UndecidedSmile

Well, I hope you get that pesky notification problem worked out soon, Anne.  I know you've seen my blog (sorry about that), and as you can imagine it's hugely popular.  It's constantly flooded with comments, and  I'd be lost without email notification to help me manage the barrage of praise I recieve each and every day!

 Nevertheless, where is your post noting the new tabs you've posted?  You've worked out some Rush I see (good job), and you should be promoting it to your fans.  I haven't tried out the tab yet, but it's posting is quite timely, as I am eagerly awaiting the Rush concert next Saturday night.  That's right, Snakes and Arrows, Part II comes to town next week, and of course, I'll be there!  Wouldn't miss it for the world.

 In other news, I watched that Headpins video a while back.  That was something.  I could've swore I had a Headpins LP in the collection, but I searched for it the other day to no avail.  I must've gotten rid of it when I sold a bunch of albums when we moved a year or so ago.  That was a mistake!  (Getting rid of the Headpins record, not the moving.  Moving was a good idea.)

Hey Manny,

How's it going? The blog glitch problem doesn't seem to be resolved yet. I know the obvious thing would be to contact Angelfire to ask about it. Can't help but feel I'd just get lost in the shuffle, though. Probably what I'll do first is post a question on their troubleshooting blog, where people can ask other Angelfire members about various problems they're having with their site or blog.

Why the "sorry about that"? Is it because I visited your blog or because you know I visited your blog? Laughing You put the link in your comment, so I thought I'd mosey on over and have a visit. As for you knowing, well, I figure lots of sites/blogs have trackers that tell (to some degree) who's coming by the site.

You're right about making a blog post when a new tab is posted. I should, and generally I've been in the habit of doing that. The night I added the Rush tab I guess I didn't because there were so many other little details to take care of. I had to add a Rush section to the Canadian page, then add the logo/website link, then add the tab to the Artist Index, put the link on the Home Page, then get the video onto the Video Page. By that time, I was probably out of time to do a blog post about it.

You said the Rush concert was next Saturday. That would be tonight! Hope you get a great show (and I'm sure you will).

The Headpins video. Would that be the one for "Don't It Make Ya Feel"? Yeah, silly video. Fun, though. And great song!
