Jenn’s Burgers Ingredients: To Prepare:
- 1 lb extra lean ground beef
- 1 package onion soup mix (this will make it a little strong so you may not want to use the whole package but I do)
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp terriyaki sauce
- 1 tsp worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp A1 steak sauce
Mix thoroughly. I made mine with cheese inside.
Make two very thin patties and put some grated cheddar cheese in the middle of one, cover with a second patty and crimp the edges together. YUM!
For the grilled mushrooms:
- 2 cans small whole mushrooms (I don't like the big mushrooms which is the only thing you can get in the fresh deli section. The pieces don't work well on skewers and usually split when you try to put them on so the cans work really well as they're really moist already)
- place on skewers and spread marinade over them. Do not marinade too long and do not baste them again while they're on the grill. The marinade is think and you don't need any extra.
Marinade (we use this on pork chops, chicken, shish-ka-bobs and it was great on the grilled mushrooms):
- 1 part plain yellow mustard (not dijon)
- 1 part plain BBQ sauce
- 1/2 part Dale's meat marinade (but can use worcestershire or A1 or something similar if you don't have Dales in your area)
- 1 tbsp steak seasoning spices
Mix all together. We don't even measure when we make it - just squeeze everything into a bowl. I don't like yellow mustard and even I like this. Yummy!
