Tim: Hello! Welcome back to Fatal Friday Fights for the first time in a long time. Last time we had a hostile take over by King of Mons. He made a pretty good effort of killing AJ and I. Once the last special event was over his army tried to take us over. Our kaiju were already out numbered when Baltan used the cloning machine Battra had stolen to make numerous copies of himself. But that was then this is now! Today we have nothing but dragon match ups. Why? Because, dragons are my favorite mythological monsters!

AJ: They’re all competing in the Draconic Tournament to see who will become the first holder of a new trophy!

Tim: Our first match up of the day is the Green Dragon Zord vs. the Red Dragon Zord! If you’ve never seen these kaiju check out the Ranger Central or do a search for the Power Rangers on any search engine. And introducing our special guests, none other than the original Red and Green Power Rangers! Oh! I’m so happy!

AJ: Why would they just give us these machines? Don’t they need them to fight evil monsters?

Tim: AJ, with those guys getting new Zords all the time and their teams changing faster than you change clothes, the poor guys didn’t know what else to do with these old hunks of metal.

Green Ranger: Just because they’re old does not mean they are no longer mighty!

Tim: Sure… I’ll buy it…. [Under his breath]… Depending on how much you pay me.

Two Power Ranger Dragon Zord Clash!

       VS
Green Dragon Zord                                      Red Dragon Zord

AJ: For this battle the city becomes Angel Grove, the site were the Power Rangers laid waste to many of Rita’s or Zed’s attacking monsters.

Tim: For those who never saw the classic Power Rangers (or any Power Rangers) its just factories by a bay and the rest is randomly laid out buildings.

AJ: The UFO’s beam streams down into the water, warping the Green Dragon Zord beneath the waves. On the other side of the building a giant mechanical T-Rex is warped in.

Suddenly both Power Rangers teleport to the roof of a building, sectioned off from the rest of the arena by a force field.

Red Ranger: Tyrannosaurus, Red Dragon, thunder zord power!

Tim: Just then a bolt of mysterious lightning zapped the T-Rex zord as it morphed into a crimson, floating, machine serpent, comparable to a robotic version of Manda. Before the match even starts it lifts high into the air and changes into warrior mode, twirling its newly acquired staff menacingly as it descended before slamming to the ground with a thud .

Green Ranger: Alright then! Time to call the dragon zord!

AJ: The Green Ranger then plays a tune on his dagger/flute. Only moments later a pair of glowing red eyes appear beneath the waves. Alarmed, possibly because it knows what it is, the Red Dragon Zord takes up a fighter’s stance, weapon ready to spring into action.

Tim: To make things easier the Red Dragon will be called “Red” and the other zord will be called, “Green”.

AJ: Those eyes are headed toward the shore. Before too long the horned head of the Dragon Zord peaks up from beneath the waves. Its not too long before Green is in the midst of all those factories, before ripping off a smoke stack and wedging it into its maw, crushing it beneath its clamped jaws.

Tim: I remember that! That smoke stack always got it when Green was evil. And then his drill tail would rip through a few card board buildings!

AJ: Uh-oh! Green Ranger just played another tune and his zord is responding with a bunch of flashing lights on its circular chest plate. You know what that means!? Green lifted its hands so that all of its finger tips/ missile tubes were pointing in Red’s direction! Scarlet war heads appear in the ready position before in an out burst of smoke they were gone. They detonated all around Red. Only two actually hit their target, one in the chest the other in the left leg, but even this was enough to break Red’s stance. Red staggered backwards from the blow before collapsing. Green was all too ready to take advantage of this and charged toward his downed enemy. But because of Green’s speed on land, Red had enough time to get to his feet and ready himself. When Green drew into striking distance Red let him have it with a staff swing across the chest The blow sends Green back a few paces but it has no time to recover before Red draws the staff back for a blow to the shoulder, sending Green to the ground. But Green isn’t helpless! Instead it uses its drill tail to hook around Red’s leg and yank it to the ground as well. While on the ground, Red rolls to face Green and punch it in the chest, having dropped his staff. Then, Green rolls on top for a pin. Before we can start the count Red shoves Green off and gets to its feet but is more concerned over reclaiming its staff than to the opposing mech rising behind it. When next it turns it has but seconds to lift its staff in defense of Green’s swinging drill tail, drill buzzing and all. All that this action rewarded it with was its staff weapon severed into two halves before the drill continued to its chest. Sparks flew as metal grinded against metal. The attack sent the red zord to the ground but with no notable damage to its armor from the drill. Strange.

Green Ranger: (To Red Ranger) Looks as though your zord has lost its weapon.

Red Ranger: I wish I could actually pilot my zord. Then yours wouldn’t be so lucky.

Tim: During their argument, Red fetched up a half of his staff and threw it at Green, scoring a hit on his chest and sending him…err…it back to the ground. Red then grabbed both halves of the staff and began beating Green’s chest violently with his sticks. But once Green Ranger plays Green a song and Red is suddenly staring down five missile tubes raised at his head at nearly point blank range, Red turns and runs. During Red’s run the missiles go crazy, two impacting a building just to the left of him, one impacting a building to his right and another on the ground just beneath it and fifth impacting just beneath his foot as he stepped. Red eventually came to hiding place behind a sky scraper. There a few minutes pass until final Green’s drill is sent through one side of the building over to Red’s only twenty feet away from where he was leaning on it ( a matter of one or two centimeters when your 60 meters tall). When his drill finally stops buzzing Red leaps into the air, uses the tip of Green’s tail to spring board over the sky scraper and behind his opponent before kicking Green into the building, concealing him beneath a mound of rubble.

Green Ranger: No!

AJ: Folks this is like nothing we’ve ever seen! The Green Ranger has teleported to another roof top outside the shield to use green energy bolts from his dagger/flute to start clearing the rubble from his zord.

Green Ranger: You have got to win!

Red Ranger: Hey that’s cheating!

AJ:Now the Red Ranger’s on the same roof top, Power Sword in hand.

Red Ranger: Quit that!

Green Ranger: Why don’t you make me?

Tim: The Red Ranger charges! Before long the two Power Rangers are crossing blades and then Green gets up out of the rubble! We’ve got two fights going at once! Green swings its tail, Red ducks. Green Ranger swings his blade Red Ranger ducks! Red tries to jab Green’s gut with his staff but Green jumps back! Red Ranger tries to stab Green Ranger in the gut but Green Ranger jumps back! The fight between the Rangers ends when Green apologies for being a bad sport, the battle between the zords only heats up when Red calls Green out-dated. (Any ranger fan knows the red dragon came after the green.) Green tackles Red to the ground but rather than pin proceeds to lift his head up and bash the back of his head into the pavement repeatedly. Green then stands over him and brings his fist down on Red’s face, bashing in Red’s cheek and leaving his right eye cracked. Red reaches out and finds the left half of the staff he had dropped. Before Green brings his fist down again, Red sits up, bringing Green within striking distance, and swings his staff, bashing into the Left side of Green’s face, leaving it in the same condition as Red’s right. Green topples to the ground. Red rises but Green’s tail trips him again! Green is up and tries to impale the fallen Red on his drill tail. Green turns around and brings his buzzing drill tail down on Red. Red manages to roll out of the way in time. Green forces its tail out of the ground before turning to face Red. Green lifts his foot over Red in an attempt to stomp on the opposing mech. Green brings his foot down but Red catches it and pushes, sending Green to the ground on his back. Before Green realized what hit him Red leaped high into the air above him and brought one half of his staff down on Green, just beneath his chest plate, with such force that it pierced his armor, then ran through all the way into the ground. Sparks shot up from the opening in Green’s armor. Now, pinned to the ground, there’s no way Green can defend itself.

Green Ranger: I wouldn’t say that!

Tim: And with a command from his dagger Green Dragon unleashes a bombardment of missiles, but Red leaps off Green, dodging his attack. The missiles instead fly across the arena before running out of fuel, causing them to descend upon a building, reducing it to rubble. Red may have avoided the rockets, but he’s but himself within striking distance of Green’s tail! Green uses his tail and whips Red through a building! Red comes staggering out of the rubble only to find Green’s buzzing tail lashing at him! Red catches the drill between his palms, turning his hands into fountains of sparks. In a matter of minutes the drill is forced into stopping, but Red hasn’t gone without damage, with wires hanging from his ravaged hands. Red uses lightning speed to dodge the drill and two missiles before he finally reaches his destination, leaping into the air and performing an elbow drop onto Green’s chest plate, turning the edges around the chest plate into a 360 degree spray of sparks. Somehow Green is still functional.

AJ: Power Rangers has never been so violent!

Tim: I know. Isn’t it great? Ooh! Red is standing over Green and socking him in the chest. Green only manages a single blow to Red’s chest. After a while of beating Red decides to go for a pin. Before the countdown can begin Green presses his missile tube fingers up against Red’s face and fires his rockets at point blank range! The result is a titanic cloud of smoke following an outburst of flames and sparks! The smoke clears and Red’s lost his head! Green is missing both arms, but is still functional! Green wins!

[Both Rangers teleport back to announcer’s booth.]

Tim: Thanks for helping host the match fellas!

Green Ranger: Hey, no problem.

Red Ranger: I had fun.

AJ: Sorry for causing you guys to fight.

Green Ranger: We were just putting on a show.

Tim: If that’s the case why did you stop so early.

Green Ranger: It was a little corny the way the zords did the same thing we did.

Tim: Well thanks for coming by.

AJ: Wait! Before you go I gotta’ ask ya’ something’.

Green Ranger: What?

AJ: Where can I get a dagger like that?

Red Ranger: Never mind this. Let’s go.

[The Power Rangers teleport from announcers booth, concealed by red and green light.]

Tim: I want a dagger like that too. Oh well. Green Dragon Zord will continue on to the next round Time for the next match, Batragon, a dragon-like genetic mutation, and Orochi, the legendary eight headed dragon of Japanese myth! This battle will not only decide who goes on to the next round, it also decides Green Dragon Zord’s opponent next week!

Draconic Tournament Match 2

       VS
Batragon                                      Orochi, the Eight Forked Serpent of Koshi

Tim: Now time for a modern, bio-engineered dragon, Batragon, to take on an ancient dragon, Orochi, the Eight Forked Serpent of Koshi!

AJ: And for this match up the arena becomes New York City. Batragon is warped in and makes his perch on the Statue of Liberty, while Oroch is warped to Manhattan. Orochi immediately sets to work leveling the city, raking his red lightning across the landscape, reducing four buildings to piles of rubble. One of his heads then uses flame breath to set a car parked in a parking lot ablaze. The fire reaches the gas tank and the vehicle explodes, causing an entire string of explosion as the flames spread to the other cars.

Tim: While he’s showing off, Batragon is soaring at him. Batragon takes a nose dive, scraping his claws across the opposing dragon’s back. While Orochi is immortal, he can still feel pain. He roars out in pain, then his tail lashes out in hatred. The colossal, spiked tail misses Batragon by a long shot, and instead manages to destroy a building. After a while Batragon returns and drops an oil tanker from the docks on top of Orochi. Orochi fights back by sending countless lightning bolts through the air. Batragon seems to be quick enough to dodge the attacks until he’s knocked down, by a stray shot , to fall through the roof of a building, straight down to the ground, leaving only fragments of the structure beneath the flying behemoth. Before Batragon has a chance to take off, Orochi uses his red lightning bolts to bring the buildings surrounding the bat, komodo dragon hybrid down on Batragon.

AJ: Orochi has a real knack for destruction.

Tim: What a coincidence. I had a real craving for destruction today. You know how lucky these monsters are. With the WMW they can break all they want.

AJ: Batragon’s been down for a while and the clock’s ticking…7...8... Wait! There’s visible movement! Batragon tears himself free of the ruble and takes to the air, disappearing from Orochi’s site by a line of buildings. Orochi begins tearing a way buildings with his red lightning in an attempt to chase after Batragon. But while he’s headed in the direction he saw Batragon disappear to, Batragon’s actually coming up behind him. And he’s got a present, the Empire State Building’s spire! He comes in low and fast and imbeds the spire into Orochi’s back. It can’t really hurt Orochi, the only thing that can kill him is the Sword of the Snake Kerosign, but it sure ticked him off! An enraged Orochi turns around to see Batragon mocking him from a perch atop a sky scraper. Instead of bombarding the structure with his lightning he instead approaches the building. Each head finds its place in front of window. Moments later all the heads release powerful bursts of flames. The building fills with fire, all the windows burst out, allowing jets of flame to fly out of the building. The heat becomes so intense that Batragon flees the building for dear life. Even though Batragon has left Orochi doesn’t even stop until the building is reduced to molten materials. Pleased with the condition he leaves the sky scraper in, Orochi once again, goes on the hunt for Batragon. The hunt doesn’t last long as Batragon chucks cars at Orochi from the roof of another building. Batragon takes off from the building, moments before a red lightning bolt takes a chunk off the roof.

Orochi: Why don’t you just give up!? There’s no way for you to beat me!

Tim: You know he’s right.

AJ: Batragon seems tired of playing it safe and dives in for Orochi. Before he can reach his target Orochi bites his front leg and tosses him through a building, leaving it standing, but with a gaping hole straight through it. Batragon leaps out of the way just in time to avoid the eight streams of electrical energy Orochi sent through the hole in the building following the bat, komodo hybrid. One serpentine head and neck slips through the hole and turns to see the fleeing Batragon taking to the air. He then grounds his target with a bolt of lightning. While Orochi’s tearing through the building Batragon runs down the street a good distance before taking to the air. Orochi suddenly stops, closes his eyes and waits. Batragon goes back to his “play it safe tactics” and fetches up a boat-bomb before heading back in Orochi’s direction. While Batragon has gone back to his original tactics, Orochi’s gone to a new one. Orochi has honed in on the wing beats of his adversary instead of causing senseless destruction. Orochi waits until Batragon is directly above him before throwing all eight heads up and releases red lightning from all his eyes and mouths, the projectiles merge into a massive body of electrical energy, creating such a clap of thunder that windows shatter, buildings falter on their foundations and heavy objects, such as desks and chairs roll out onto the streets. Batragon is lost in a blinding light. It fades and Batragon’s corpse spirals to the ground, the electrical energy its body had absorbed discharged into the ground as the genetic alteration slammed into the* ground, resulting in a powerful explosion.

Tim: I had no idea Orochi could do that!

Orochi: That’s right! I’m the coolest! Honestly no challenge at all!

AJ: There are still more powerful creatures in this tournament, ya’ know.

Tim: Orochi, your on your way to fight the Green Dragon Zord next week and if you can beat him you’ll be another step closer to winning the Draconic Trophy!

Orochi: Hah! That trophy’s as good as mine!

Tim: Even if you do beat Green Dragon Zord, remember that Kaiser Ghidorah is still in this tournament and his round is next!

Orochi: Hah! I’m not afraid of that stupid, fat, dumb, retarded, gold dragon!

Tim: You mean the one that just warped in behind you?

Kaiser Ghidorah: Don’t think I won’t remember this, Orochi.

Orochi: Oh, darn.

AJ: So why did KG come in so soon.

Tim: Because, I pushed the button to have him brought in. Anyway, let’s have King Ghidorah brought in and…. I’m not feeling very creative. AJ, you want to choose a location?

AJ: Gladly. Let’s see. We got an entire universe to choose from and we only pick cities. Which one? Which one? Planet X, should do nicely.

Draconic Tournament Match 3

       VS
Kaiser Ghidorah                                           King and Mecha-King Ghidorah

Tim: Oh, you’re so right! King Ghidorah is warped into a rough mountain region as the arena shifts from NYC to Planet X. This is a gauntlet match, which means as soon as one monster is defeated the other jumps in. King Ghidorah surveys the area for something to challenge its power. When an unmanned saucer comes into Ghidorah’s field of vision (a very wide field of vision with his multiple heads.) King Ghidorah destroys it on site with his gravity rays. But in doing so, he’s revealed his location to the near by Kaiser Ghidorah. Kaiser Ghidorah takes to the air before diving at King Ghidorah. King Ghidorah tries to fly away, but he doesn’t get to far before Kaiser Ghidorah tackles his counterpart to the ground. Kaiser Ghidorah and his older form exchange gravity rays as King Ghidorah struggles to break free of Kaiser’s pin. Kaiser decides that an early victory isn’t worth the pain of Ghidorah’s biting jaws. Kaiser picks up King Ghidorah in his three sets of jaws and tosses him aside. King Ghidorah gets to his feet, only to be picked up by Kaiser’s gravity rays and tossed through a small mountain. Kaiser Ghidorah comes to the side of the fallen King Ghidorah, roaring as if to taunt his counterpart. Suddenly King Ghidorah takes off into the “sky”, wraps his tails around Kaiser Ghidorah’s right head and yanked him to the ground. King Ghidorah then flew above Kaiser before allowing himself to drop, his feet slamming into Kaiser’s side. He then repeated the process several times. Each time Kaiser tries to move he’s slammed right back to the ground. After Kaiser makes no attempt to escape, King Ghidorah stops to examine his foe. Big mistake. Kaiser lashes out with his serpentine heads. Kaiser digs his teeth into King Ghidorah’s ankles and pulls him to the ground. He then takes the opportunity to get to his feet, seize King Ghidorah in his gravity rays and tosses him to the base of a mountain. Kaiser proceeds to fires explosive strips of golden energy at the summit, causing a rock slide that buries Ghidorah alive. In a mammoth out burst of golden energy the boulders that crush the hydra burst. Out of the dust an enraged King Ghidorah steps forth.

King Ghidorah: You’ll pay for that!

Kaiser Ghidorah: I’d love to see you try!

AJ: King Ghidorah takes off into the sky and its Kaiser with a bombardment of gravity rays. Kaiser Ghidorah cries out in agony as he winces from the attack. Kaiser takes off in chase and a dog fight stirs up. This takes me back to the original WMW series. Kaiser unleashes a trio of energy beams at the incoming Ghidorah but the older dragon ascends out of the way of the attack. Ghidorah, now above Kaiser, sends his own rays to strike Kaiser in his back. Kaiser is shaken from the attack but remains in the air.

Tim: Funny. His wings look too small to lift him in the first place.

AJ: You know the rules. Don’t let any scientific crud get in the way of enjoying a giant monster fight. Ghidorah then makes a turn and comes up behind Kaiser and fires his gravity rays, missing with two of his heads but scoring a direct hit with the center. Kaiser hangs in the air but the hit did allow Ghidorah to catch up with his newer form. Upon reaching his counterpart Ghidorah rakes his talons across Kaiser’s back. That’s it! Kaiser’s going down. Kaiser impacts the ground with enough force to create a giant cloud of dirt, concealing a large portion of the battle field. Ghidorah bombards the arena in a storm of gravity rays, as loud, fearsome and chaotic as lightning in a severe storm. Ghidorah roars wildly, calling to his enemy, knowing he’s still alive. Ghidorah has covered the entire arena a cloud of smoke and Kaiser’s taking advantage of his cover. Out of the smoke a trio of gravity rays hit Ghidorah in the back. Ghidorah turns around and fires in the direction the beams came from. Then Kaiser shot his airborne foe from the opposite direction.

King Ghidorah: How does he know where I am!?!

Tim: I’m wondering that myself. Does it have something to do with being a Kaiser? M-Base affects the level of mental capabilities. Is it possible he’s sensing Ghidorah’s consciousness?

AJ: We may never know all the secret abilities of a Kaiser. Ghidorah lands, hoping to find cover amongst the mountains. He tries to find Kaiser’s sent but by the time he picks up the sent of Kaiser’s blood, Kaiser was already on him. Kaiser bit into each of Ghidorah’s necks and began to drain him of his energy. After awhile Kaiser drops his foes body to the ground. Just then Mecha-King Ghidorah entered the battle field. Upon arrival he’s knocked to the ground with a trio of gravity rays.

Tim: Wow, he’s down already. But he’s back up and taking to the “sky”. Once he’s above his foe all three heads release waves of energy. Kaiser is forced back thew pain. By the time he recovers, Mecha-Ghidorah has closed in and tackled Kaiser down. The cyborg dragon pins… 1... Kaiser uses his gravity rays to toss Mecha-Ghidorah off of him and gets up. Mecha-Ghidorah rises to his feet himself and snares Kaiser with his “Godzilla Grips” and “Machine Hand” before feeding electrical energy into Kaiser. Kaiser seems stronger than before. Probably on account of all the energy he drained out of Ghidorah. Kaiser severs the cables with beams from his outer heads and attacks Mecha-Ghidorah with a beam from his middle head. Mecha-Ghidorah sends all three of his own beams to intercept the enemy projectile. Despite the fact that its three streams of energy against one Kaiser’s single beam manages to push back Mecha-Ghidorah’s attack. Mecha-Ghidorah tries to send more energy to his beams before Kaiser wins the energy clash, but rather than push the projectile back, the colliding energy causes a titanic explosion that sends both combatants to the ground. Both opposing space dragons get to their feet. Desperate, Mecha-Ghidorah gets up close and personal to Kaiser and beats him with his metallic wings. Kaiser rears up on his hind legs and slams his front legs into Mecha-Ghidorah’s chest, knocking the cyborg to the ground. Instead of getting up, Mecha-Ghidorah digs the metal tips on his tails into Kaiser’s ankles, drawing blood. Kaiser pulls away from Mecha-Ghidorah, then blasts him with a barrage of gravity rays. Mecha-Ghidorah returns fire, burning holes through Kaiser’s wings. Kaiser focuses all its fire power on Mecha-Ghidorah’s cybernetic head, severing the cyborg’s center head. Panicked, Mecha-Ghidorah takes to the air in retreat. Kaiser tears off Mecha-Ghidorah’s wings with his projectiles. After crashing to the ground, Mecha-Ghidorah taps out.

AJ: His fight didn’t last too long in his movie either. Okay. Last but not least we have RoF Dragon vs. Saphira, the big blue dragon from “Eragon”. I understand she’s supposed to be smart or something like that. What ever. Since both monsters are traditional dragons the arena has become an ancient forest with a large abandoned castle in the center. Both monsters will be shrunken down to forty feet long. Except Saphira who’s being increased to forty feet long.

Legendary Belt Match/Draconic Tournament Match 4

       VS
RoF Dragon                                      Saphira

AJ: I’ve also been informed that this is a pyro-match up. The first monster to catch on fire loses.

Tim: The dragons are warped in on opposite sides of the forest, the bell rings and the fight’s on! Both dragons fly up above the castle and begin to circle around it.

RoF Dragon: You’re going down, man!

Saphira: I happen to be a lady.

RoF Dragon: I couldn’t tell.

Tim: No one’s even used fire breath yet and Saphira’s already been burned! Enraged she sends a jet of fire at RoF Dragon. The wyvern descends low enough to evade the attack before swooping down, using the castle as cover. Saphira engages in chase. RoF Dragon flies into the forest, weaving between trees and setting vegetation aflame, using the flames and smoke from the inferno as cover. Within minutes we have a wild forest fire. Even with his tricks Saphira can stay on RoF Dragon with her incredible vision the dragons of Alegesia posses. But she can’t catch up on account of how fast RoF Dragon is. Saphira changes tactics and turns, allowing her to close the gap between her and RoF Dragon , because of RoF Dragon’s circular flight pattern. Saphira gives a violent shove to RoF Dragon’s side, luckily for him the fire has yet to spread that far or he’d be out by now. Saphira sends a stream of flames at him. RoF Dragon takes to the air, the flames graze him but there’s not enough focused exposure for him to catch on fire. In other words, he wasn’t in the fire long enough. He returns fire with his natural napalm but Saphira flies up out of the way, leaving the tree behind her to take the punishment instead. Saphira takes off after him. Following him out of the forest and above the castle. Suddenly RoF Dragon reduces his speed, ascends higher than Saphira before kicking her into one of the castle towers, denting the structure. Saphira falls to the roof before sliding off onto the ground.. Saphira uses her incredible sense of sight to look through the building and see RoF Dragon circling around for a landing on one of the towers. Saphira proceeds to actually enter the empty castle and work her way up into the tower RoF Dragon landed on. While RoF Dragon surveys the surrounding forest for Saphira. But the sapphire dragon is beneath him. Saphira uses her talons to punch holes in the wooden roof, before she sends jets of flames up through the holes. RoF Dragon takes off into the air, ripping a large portion of the roof off before filling the entire tower with natural napalm. Saphira barely escapes.

RoF Dragon: Give it up!

AJ: I don’t think Saphira’s listening. Instead she appears to be waiting some where in the castle. RoF Dragon steps inside to investigate but a violent tale whip sends him rolling out of the building. The Saphira torchs him, sending him ablaze. RoF Dragon has lost it all: this match, his title and his chance to win the first draconic tournament!

Tim: We have our finalists! Vote now to decide who wins the tournament!
