This poll is a very special poll. Not only do you get to see results at the end of the two-week period, but also you have the pleasure of reading a short story to find out those results. The WMW poll shows eight "matches" (you know, like pro wrestling), of "Whatever" vs. "Whatever". When you are voting, you are voting to decide who would win if that fight actually occurred. It is up to you to decide who would win or loose a fight. There is links to their stat pages, and you should use that to help in your decision. You should decide based on actual fighting ability rather than who your favorite is, so the best monster wins. You can play favorites, but only in a match between equals.

My cowriter and me will use our writing ability to come up with a hopefully entertaining match between the monsters involved. We will use the results to decide who the winner will be. This is actually fairly accurate to real pro wresting, because the fan favorite usually fights the best and wins, and upsets really are upsets. In the case of a tie, the tie will be a tie in the fight, exept for the first match after a special event, which is a title match that has to be decided, but if a tie occurs the match is carried over until next week if necessary. A match between two monsters that already occured will not take place any other way untill one month has passed.

The polls will be open every week starting Sunday and ending on the next Sunday, as early as I can get it. For the next two days, we will write the matches, and post them on the web on Tuesday at about 8:00 p.m. eastern time. A link to the newly posted story will be in both the front page and WMW section, and stay there until replaced with the next one. Previous results will be in the WMW section. Rules of the matches will also be there.

The weekly story posted will be called "Tuesday Terror". I picked Tuesday because it is the only day of the week without a pro wrestling show on TV. Every three months, there will be a "Seasonal Event". This is my version of a "Pay-Per-View". Luckily, you don't have to pay for it. Each season has it's own name and rules. "Spring Smash" and "Fall Fallout" will be events consisting of various events that may be: A 10 vs. 1 handicap match, a "Random Teams" tournament, an 8 monster 4 team match, a 6 vs. 6 team battle, or a grouping of random special matches. "Summer Squash" will be a tournament to decide the winner of the "King of the Monsters" trophy. It will take place on Planet X. "Winter Wham" will be a 20 monster battle Royal to decide the winner of the "Monster of Monsters" trophy. It will take place on the moon. The "Special Events" will be on the fourth Tuesday of the months of January, April, July, and October respectively, and may replace the Tuesday Terror of that week.
