POST TREATMENT:
DI QUALITY MONITOR

      * The DI Quality Monitor measures the water purity coming out of the secondary (backup) tank.
Should the water quality drop below 1 megohm, the monitor will set off an alarm on the
         treatment floor.

      * Should the DI Quality Monitor alarm, all patient machines must be immediately put into bypass
until the water quality can be returned to safe levels.

      * The DI Quality Monitor uses a Resistivity Meter to determine the quality of the DI water.
Because it uses resistivity, the HIGHER the number the better the water.

      * DI Monitors are tested daily to verify the correct operation of the audible and visual alarms in
the treatment area and recorded in the Daily Water Quality Monitoring Log.
