CNY Jazz Arts Foundation Executive Director and drummer for the CNY Jazz Orchestra, Larry Luttinger is a percussionist, music educator, arts administrator and a member of the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra.

Throughout his career, Luttinger has performed with many well known jazz artists, including Rob McConnell, Clark Terry, Grady Tate, Frank Foster, Denis DiBlasio, Doc Severinson, Bucky Pizzarelli and Howard Alden, Lorne Lofsky, Lena Horne, Maxine Sullivan, Marian McPartland, The Four Freshmen, Joe DiOrio, Ted Piltzecker, and Chuck and Gap Mangione.

With more than fifty show credits including Sugar Babies, Grand Hotel, City of Angels, Will Rogers Follies, Ben Vereen, Suzanne Somers and Johnny Mathis, Luttinger has also toured or performed with dozens of rock personalities — Chuck Berry, Del Shannon, Chubby Checker, Petula Clark and the Moody Blues to name a few.

He holds a Master of Music degree in Percussion Performance from Syracuse University and has served as Chairman of the SU Music Industry Department and Director of SU Jazz Ensembles. He currently maintains teaching studios at Syracuse University and Onondaga Community College. He is Executive Treasurer of the IAJE-NYS and has served on the Executive Board of Local 78, AFM. He lives in Liverpool, NY with his wife, Margaret, and two sons, Jake and Max.
