Troop History Boy Scout Troop 228 was established in April 1988. When we first started, there were only 6 boys transferred from other troops. In order to get the troop registered, the parents of these boys forms the Parents' Association as the troop's chartering organization. The number of scouts in the troop keeks growing the ensuing years under the guidance of the leaders, with the cooperation of the parents and the enthusiasm of the scouts. With the collective effort of everyone involved, the troop survives and excels, producing a number of Engle Scouts, winning numerous awards in competitions, and becoming a Quality Unit every year. In the seven years of its existence, the troop has moved to several locations due to various reasons. Finally, thanks to the kindness of the First Methodist Church of San Gabriel, we have a place to settle down and call it home.
