TOMORROW'S GIRLS & WOMEN partnered with Mt. Tabor AME Church "Love Kitchen" to feed the homeless and pass out "Blessing Bags."

During the holiday season there are so many, too many, families struggling to make ends meet and sometimes a fabulous holiday dinner is simply not possible. So TOMORROW'S GIRLS & WOMEN, always wanting to do what we can, when we can, held our very first Annual Family Turkey Basket and Free Turkey Giveaway. With the help of God and Advancing Families (they donated 50 turkeys to us), we were able to help families, churches and community organizations. With food and you guessed it...turkeys.

We just had our very first...

To say that it was AWESOME, is truly an understatement. These little darlings enjoyed themselves from beginning to end. This one was for ages 3 to 7. Our next age group will be ages 8 to 13. Can't wait for that, but in the mean time, check out our little queens for a night:-).

TOMORROW'S GIRLS & WOMEN had a GREAT time Stepping To Stomp Out Cancer at the Making Strides Breast Cancer Walk on Saturday, October 17, 2015 in Philadelphia. We were able to raise $223.00. A big thank you to all those who thought it not robbery to support this worthy cause and us. Below are some highlights of the walk. Stay tuned for an upcoming list of all our supporters.

TOMORROW'S GIRLS & WOMEN in collaboration with the For Women Collective received a Performances in Public Spaces Grant from the City of Philadelphia's OFFICE OF ARTS, CULTURE AND THE CREATIVE ECONOMY, to do a two part performance/workshop entitled: UNSLIENCED: Four Women of Color.

Below are pictures from part one. Poetry workshop where participants wrote poetry to the theme of "What does UNSILENCED mean to you?" It was a beautiful day, that yielding some raw, real and beautiful poetry.

Next came part two where participants from the poetry workshop had the opportunity to showcase their work along side of some of Philly's most gifted artist, member's of the FOR WOMEN COLLECTIVE. Pictures say it all

TOMORROW'S GIRLS & WOMEN wanted to do something for all the men who stand up, step up and stay up for their families and communities, so we started our 1st Annual Daddy Day Contest, where the dads win an AWESOME basket full of appreciation.

Below are some of the winners from this year.

TOMORROW’S GIRLS & WOMEN had the pleasure of participating in the Grace Safe Place, Inc. 1st Annual “Foster a Change” Benefit Walk, on Saturday May 30, 2015, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. It was a truly bonding experience to partner with another organization that cares about the community as much as we do. We look forward to joining them again for future endeavors.

Our very first event as the newly formed TOMORROW'S GIRLS & WOMEN was a huge success. We wanted to introduce our selves to the community and what better way to do it then by honoring our MOTHER'S.

It was a beautiful May afternoon when mommys, daughters, sisters, aunties, friends and even some daddy's came out to celebrate the women in their lives. Clearly, nothing would have kept them away, as love knows no boundaries. We all gathered at the fellowship hall, in Germantown to be inspired by words, hear some joyful tunes, and invigorating laughter, as TOMORROW'S GIRLS & WOMEN kicked off our first annual event.

It was truly a beautiful day. Not only weather wise, but in spirit. The spirit of giving. The spirit of doing. The spirit of love for your fellow human being.

At the end of the day, the lesson learned by all was, no matter your age, we all have something to give to each other...
