ANS. There are 7 symbols in the Seal of Theosophy:
1. Blazing Sun
2. AUM
3. Swavastika
4. Ouborous (Serpent biting it's tail)
5. Seal of Solomon (6=pointed Star)
6. Ankh (Egytian sign for Immortality)
7. Motto: There is No Religion Higher Than Truth

Blazing Sun
The Blazing Sun represents the Solar Logos. The Solar Logos is the Aeon (Emanation of God) over our Solar System. He lives in the Sun. He is known as YAHWEH and ALLAH and various other names. The Hindus call Him BRAHMA; which comes from the Sanskrit root-word brih ("Expanse").
"He hat set his tabernacle in the Sun." (Psalm 18:6)The AEONS are Emanations of GOD like photons are emanations of the physical Sun. Every star in the Universe is a physical manifestation of an AEON.
The AEONS are not separate "gods" but Emanations of God just as photon (light particles) are emanations from our Sun.

AUM (WORD of God)
The AUM symbol is from the Sankrit letters that represent the sound of "AUM" (sometimes written in English as "OM"). This is the Universal Vibration that created the physical Cosmos; otherwise known as the WORD of God. Jesus was an incarnation of the AUM.
Swavastika
The Swavastika is not a swastika! It is NOT a Nazi symbol! It is a Buddhist symbol!
It represents the opposite of what the swastika represents! It represents Samsara (Wheel of Rebirth). It has four arms which corresponds to the four worlds in which human souls can be born into:
1. Demi-god world
2. Human world
3. Ghost world
4. Hell world
The Demi-god world is the world of Devas (dwellers of Paradise planets) and Asuras (dwellers of the higher physical planets). What we call "Space Aliens" are Asuras. What we call "Angels" are Deva messengers to our world.
The Human world means the Earth-like planets like ours.
The Ghost world represents the semi-conscious dimension where some souls of the dead linger and wander in a semi-conscious state before their next incarnation.
The Hell world represents souls in the Hell dimensions; where they are terrified and tortured before their next incarnation.
The swavastika represents the Wheel of Rebirth (Samsara); which means we are born into one of the four worlds over and over again until we overcome our own egos and are at last born into Nirvana; which ends the cycles of rebirth.
Ouborous
The Ouborous ("oo-bor-roos") is the Serpent-That-Swallows-Its-Tail. It is a symbol of the Universal Karmic Law of the Cosmos. It is a symbol of Karmic Law: "What goes around comes around".
Is it a symbol of Satan or evil? In a WAY it is; since "evil" is an result of Karmic Law. The LORD (Solar Logos) said to His prophet Isaiah:
"I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace and create evil: I Yahweh do these things." (Isaiah 45:7)The Bible also says:
"Does EVIL befall a city, unless Yahweh has done it?" (Amos 3:6)For Theosophists Satan is not an enemy of God, but rather God's "agent" to bring evil to those who deserve it as a means of satifying Universal Karmic Law."Therefore, thus saith Yahweh, I AM BRINGING EVIL upon them which they cannot escape; though they cry to me, I will not listen to them." (Jeremiah 11:11)
"Is it not from the mouth of the Most High that good AND EVIL come?" (Lamentations 3:38 RSV)
Theosophists are not Satanists. We do not worship Satan or evil. Satan is simply a principle of Karmic Law and is no more a being or personality than gravity or fire!
Christians believe that Satan is a fallen angel and/or a evil being with horns and a spiked tail who whispers in a person's ear to try to tempt them to sin.
Theosophists believe that Satan is a symbol of negative retribution in Karmic Law. He is not a person or a being but a negative principle.
Satan is NOT "Lucifer"; nor is Satan the "Serpent" in the Garden, but Satan is the negative or retributive principle of Karmic Law, and the symbol of Karmic Law is the Ouborous ("What goes around comes around").
Christians believe that God will eventually "get rid" of Satan, but won't for the time being. Why not? They don't know.
Theosophists believe that Satan is a symbol of the negative side of Karmic Law. The reason is that evil is a negative retribution of Karmic Law and exists in the Material Cosmos, and has purpose and fuction to perform.

Notice that even in the Bible God does not destroy Satan, but rather "binds" him. This is a symbol of mankind entering Nirvana; where the Karmic Laws no longer apply. Satan (Karmic retribution) is "loose" in the Material Cosmos, but not in Nirvana; where Karmic Law is "bound".
Theosophists do NOT believe that God is in combat with Satan over the earth, but that Satan is a "symbol" of Karmic Law.
Seal of Solomon
The 6-pointed star, popularly called the "Shield of David" or "The Seal of Solomon" is now used as a popular symbol of Zionism or the Jewish people. But anciently it was not so. Anciently it was the symbol of the Upper and Lower Worlds; otherwise known as the DIVINE (white triangle pointing up) and the UNIVERSE (dark trianble pointing down). It is simply the Western occult version of the Ying-Yang.
Ankh
The Ankh is the ancient Egyptian symbol of Life; specifically Immortality. Theosophists use it because it is the oldest religious symbol known to us, and it is at the center of the Seal of Theosophy. It is a symbol that represents GOD; Who is the Center of the Spiritual and Material aspects of the Cosmos. Jesus Himself said:
"I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life [ANKH]". (John ?????)
There Is No Religion Higher Than Truth
This is the Motto of Theosophy; that TRUTH is higher than any "religion" (i.e. a set of laws and rituals). Theosophy is the Divine Knowledge that was kept by the Wise Men of the various Occultic Schools that existed in the ancient world.
Theosophy recognizes truth in all religions, and acknowledges all the true Avatars, Prophets, and Gurus. Theosophy sees the various Religions as all originating from One Source:
Theosophy is not a "religion" like other religions, but is in fact the modern edition of the ancient Mystery Schools where the Divine Wisdom to taught to certain chosen Neophytes who became Adepts in the Divine Wisdom.
