(((((RIP Angelfire))))We finally have a real website! Sadly, this one will be discontinued. It will stay up for others to enjoy the history, as crappy as it is, but no new additions will be added after this one. The new site will be HERE ((((JOIN THE STAFF))))If you would like to join the GSL! staff and be in future episodes. Send me an e-mail. It just might be your lucky day!
This is a site for strategy guides for games for the PS2, GCN, Xbox, PC, and now the Xbox 360 that I will personally make up myself. Nothing will be taken from other's guides and it might take a while for a guide to be completed because I will be playing the game myself recording myself to show you what to do while I play. I won't tell you all of the secrets (probably because I dont know half of them) and I'm not gonna tell you every way to beat a level or boss, only the way I did it the first time. I have about 57 PS2 games and will have guides for most of them. I will also rate games so if you have a game you want me to review or put a strategy for just e-mail me at darkgameking@hotmail.com.
These are the games I own for PS2, Xbox, PC, and DS(games with a * won't have a strat) and I have also given them my own personal ratings.

POINT INSERTION
You start the game as Gordan Freeman waking up on a moving train. The man standing at the door will say he didnt see you get on. When the train stops, follow the two passengers. You will be blinded for a few seconds when a robot takes your picture. Head through to the fenced off sorting area. When you step in, the alarms will go off and a Combine soldier will take you down a hall where, to your left, you can see into an room where a man is about to be tortured. Inside the room, the soldier will take off his helmet to reveal that he is Barney, one of the many characters from HL1. He will start a transmission with your former lab partner. A soldier will bang on the door and Barney tells you to go in the back room and use the crates to get out. Climb up the ladder and pick up the crates, setting them up to make steps to the window. Crouch and climb out the window to drop onto a box. Go through the door and into a hall way were a Combine will knock over a can and tell you to pick it up. Pick it up and drop it into the trash can and he will let you go. Go past the rations line and outside. To your right is the only street not blocked off. You will have to climb up a ladder about halfway down because there is a blockade at the end of the road where you can get your first glimps of a Strider. Drop down to the other side into the ally and go right. You cant go left because some civilians are being arrested and patted down. You will come to a plaza of apartment builds with two men standing outside one, and two Combine outside the other. Enter the building with the open door and go up the steps. As soon as you get to the hallway, Combine will bust into a room down the hall and fight with someone. Go through the first door and wath out the window with the others to see more Combine running down the street and pull up in an armored vehicle. Go back out into the hall and go down to the end. Some Combine coming up the steps will see you and start chasing you. Run up the steps and into a hall where a man will tell you to come into the room. Go in and head to the back into another hall and some stairs. You will eventually end up outside. Stay close to the building and traverse the outer ledge to get to a window and climbe through. You wont get very far before Combine bust throught all of the doors and knock you down. Alyx will take out the Combine and lead you to a lab.
"RED LETTER DAY"
Barney will open a door to give you back your old Enviro Suit. Go to the energy recharger on the wall to get a little armor. The doctor will take you into the teleportation room where you will have to flip the switch to send Alyx through the teleporter. One of the plugs will come out so you will have to pick it up and put it back in. Now its your turn, and like the first game, you know that something is going to go wrong. The doctor's pet Head Crab will jump out and bust the system causing the teleporter to teleport you all over the place. You will eventually be teleported outside the window behind the doctor. Head along the path and Barney will through you your old crowbar. You will have to use it to break the many wooden planks that block your path during the game. Hop across the trains and avoid Combine gun fire to make it into the next building. There, you will have to kill a Combine and get his Pistol.
ROUTE CANAL
Head up the stairs and back outside. You will end up at a train tunnel. Wait until the train stops and jump across. Head through the small, fallen in house. Use the barrels the Combine are clustered around to dispatch them quickly. Head through a gate and over a fence. Go around the corner and go through the vents to get to the other side of the building. Go along the tracks until you are able to go up short stairs into some side rooms. Look out, there is a Combine soldier at the top of the steps who will push a flaming explosive barrel at you. Once on the other side of the tracks, drop back down onto the tracks. Don't bother killing the Combine. Head towards the gate and go through the opening onto the ledge. A train will soon come and kill most, if not all, of the Combine. Drop into the water and swim to the end. Climb up on the train cart and drop inside. A Vortigant will charge your suit and you will be told to leave.
------------------------------------------------RATCHET: DEADLOCKED---------------------------------------------------------------------
{Cutscene}
Shows episode of Dreadzone and one of the super heroes, Captain Starshield, gets killed by Ace Hardlight. Meanwhile, Ratchet gets a message from the "New" mayor of Metropolis. She tells Ratchet that the leader of Dreadzone is becoming suspicious, blah, blah, superheroes disappearing and ending up being killed on dreadzone, blah, alarms go off and transmission is cut. Large robots teleport in and capture Ratchet, Al, and Clank. They are all given explosive collars and Ratchet is put in a full suit of armor.
{Begin training}
Training starts u off with teaching u how to move and look. When Clank tells u to, shoot the hologram. You'll then be told to move forward and take out the rest of the holograms. Go through the teleporter and finish the training by turning the crank with your wrench and entering the teleporter. You will end up in your quarters where you will find Clank. Head over to Al to get your droids and then go to Clank's area. A dropship will come and you will hear an announcement tell you to enter the ship quickly or your collar will explode. You will then be taken to the first challenge in....
THE BATTLEZONE
All you have to do here is destroy all of the enemies. One of your bots will automatically be killed so press down on the D-pad to repair him (for a fee of course). head through the the next area and turn the bolt crank. after raising the bridge, Al will warn you about a Stalker Turret ahead. Use the D-pad to tell your bots to throw an EMP to lower its sheild and destroy it. After you destroy the turret, you will be sent back to your quarters where you must pick the only challange available. It would probably be smart to purchase the Acid Omega Mod right about here and go into your weapons Mod menu and equip it to both the Dual Vipers and the Magma Cannon. Then take the ship to go to the Robot Graveyard Planet,
CATACROM FOUR
Here, your first task will be to make it to the other side of the mountain pass. Head down and take out all of the enemies from the dropship and the ones who teleport in. Have your bots throw an EMP and the turret and destroy it. Next, tell your bots to throw an EMP on the electrified platforms to deactivate them and them press X on the glowing jump platform to Superjump up to the top of the ledge and end the first challenge. The next challenge is to find the Landstalker. Jump down the ledge and fend off the enemies as your bots turn the cranks. You can turn them if you want but its a lot easier to have the bots do it. Before you head up into the building straight ahead, go to the left of the entrance behind a tree, or something and youll find an ammo crate and right next to it is a crate full of Bolts, your money. Head into the building killing the robot zombies and destroy the turret by once again lowering its shields with and EMP. Have your bots turn the bolt crank to extend the laser bridge. Head across and continue destroying enemies. Use your swingshot to cross to the landstalker, ending the challenge. Your next challenge is to get to the arena. Shoot the large bombs with your mortar launcher on the Landstalker and simply make your way to the arena. There you will need to destroy all of the enemies to finish the planet's Campaign and earn the hacker ray. Next, you will need to complete the planet's tasks to unlock the next planet. The first one is the Hoverbike race. All you have to do is fly through the rings and dont die. The next one called destruction derby has you destroying as many enemies as you can before time runs out. Finally, in Monuments of Death, you must activate the explosives on the bases several monuments to blow them up. Simply press righte near a pillar to have your bots set the charges and detonate it. Now you will be able to go to the planet....
SARATHOS
Here, your first challenge is to get to the combat arena. Check out the vendor first, here I bought the B6 Obliterator and the Napalm Mod for it. Destroy the enemies and go into the arena by having your bots use the Hacker Ray to open the door. The next challenge is to locate the Puma. First, buy the Shock Mod if you have enough and equip it to you Dual Vipers since you will be fighting sever small enemies and the Shock mod will kill them all when you only shoot one enemy. Destroy the turret and hack the doors to keep going. Keep going along the bridge and destroying enemies. Use the swingshot to cross the gap and destroy the turret and hack the shield wall to get to the Puma. Your next challenge will be to drive the Puma to the arena by turning three bolt cranks. Drive the Puma around and turn all of the bolt cranks. In one of the crank towers, is an enemy Landstalker which will cause heavy damage if you dont realize it's there soon enough. Remember that there are vehicle repair pads scattered throughout the area that will instantly repair your vehicle. Once you turn the last crank, drive the Puma over the river using the ramps and head up the slope to get to the arena.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal--------------------------------------------
((Cinematic))
Once the game starts you will have to fight off the Thyranoid attack. Follow the rangers and take out any enemies. They will give you a Blitz Cannon and some kind of bomb launcher(not sure what it was called since mine is leveled up). When you get to the dropship you will have to do the other part of the city and make it to another dropship. From that one, you will have to do several missions before you can enter the building and find Al by using the Beam Refracter to open the gates. When you have finished that. You will be taken to the Starship Pheonix where you will be told to go to Florana to find Captain Quark.
Florana
Jump across the floating platforms and when the path forks, go the the left. In the building there, is a bolt multiplyer crate and several crates. After you have collected your bolts, go down the right path and kill the enemies. Jump up to the top of the ledge. Make sure you wait for all of the enemies to slide throught the windows before jumping up the pipes. Once at the top, jump to the bottom and turn around. There should be a ledge containing either a Platinum Bolt or a trophie(pretty sure it was a Platinum Bolt). Continue on and use the Inferno crate to up your defense and offense abilities to take out the enemies and lower the bridge. Wall jump to get to the top left ledge. Walk around the outside of the building using the narrow ledge to get to a trophie. Go back around and jump across the wall jumping area to the other ledge. From here, slide down the vine and climb up the tower. Slide down another vine.
((Cinematic))
You now have to walk the Path of Death. This is easy. Just jump across the platforms killing the enemies and avoiding the flames and rocks. At the end you will have to fight Quark. Dodge his boomerang and kill the enemies he sends at you. Once you have beaten him you will automatically go back to
Starship Pheonix
Here, go to your quarters to trigger a cine which tells you to to play the 1st Quark Vid Comic to jar Quark's memories.
-----------------------------------------------------------------RESIDENT EVIL 4--------------------------------------------------------------
I have already beaten this so I will be doing it on Professional mode without carrying over my saved weapons, but the weapons I upgraded will still be upgraded so it may take some of you a few more shots to kill a boss or enemy.
{Opening Cutscene} Leon remembers the incident in Racoon City from Resident Evil 2. He says they napalmed the city and the government closed the Umbrella Corporation's accounts and their stock bombed. Umbrella was finished.
Leon is riding in a car with two hispanic men who keep asking about why is is there. They pull over so the one can take a pee and he hears something but doesnt make anything out of it. They pull to a stop after crossing a bridge and Leon gets out.
{Start Game} Walk (or run by holding down Square as you move. Also, you can do a 180 degree turn by holding down Square while moving backwards.) to the small house nearby. Walk inside. Just ignore the noises because the guy wont attack until after the next cutscene.
{Cutscene} Leon trys to get the man's attention but ingnores him. Leon pulls out a picture of Ashley, the president's daughter who your trying to rescue) and the man yells at him in Spanish. As Leon turns to leave, the man picks up an axe and attacks Leon.
{Start Game} Shoot the man with your handgun until he dies(duh). If you manage to make him stumble around, move next to him and press X to kick him onto the ground or hopefully knock off his head if you did enough damage with the gun. If you shoot him in the leg and he falls on the ground, run up to him and use L1 to pull out your knife and slash him until he dies in order to conserve ammo. After killing him, more Granadas, villagers, will appear and will drive a truck into the car you came in forcing them both over the cliff. The Granadas will hold the door shut. Go upstairs and take anything up there. Go near the nearest glass window and press X to jump out and as soon as you can move again, run forward then quickturn to face the Granadas and kill them. Head down the path killing any Granadas and making sure to check out the small shacks for ammo, herbs, or money. For future reference, herbs can be mixed and used in the following ways: Green herb- small healing when use alone. Yellow- can't be used alone but mix with green to increase max health and small heal. Red- can't be used alone but mix with green fully restore health. Mix them all together to increase max health and fully restore health.
When you get to the village, go towards the tree and press X when you can to pull out your binoculars. Head forward a little until the path forks. DO NOT, I reapeat, DO NOT go straight into the village or you will soon runout of ammo or health. Take the small left path behind the buildings. Keep going until you see a female Granada moving hay with a pitch fork. DO NOT shoot her or get near her. Keep close the the house and right behind her there should be a window. Smash it with your knife, DONT jump through the glass, and then climb through. Take the ammo and grenade. NOW you can shoot her but do it from inside the house. After you kill her turn around and face the door because the other Granadas will have busted open the door by now. Throw the incindiary grenade at them to hopefull kill all of them. IF and WHEN it shows a Granados sending more after you. Climb back out the window you came in from. Go to where the the woman was standing and immediatly turn around. There will be a Granados on the roof throwing axes at you. I you're lucky, one shot will make him fall off the roof. Otherwise, just keep shooting him till he dies. Next, head out to the center of the town with the fire, and go into the house with the open door and the fence around the front to trigger a cut scene. After that, quickly grab the ammo and head upstairs. At the very top of the stairs will be a shotgun mounted on the wall. Take that and smash the glass on the cabinet to the left of it to get some more shells. Head to the front of the room and go in between the bed and the railing and wait for the Granados to get up in your face before firing a shell into theirs. You've probably heard that reving engine sound by now haven't you? We'll let me tell you now, that is a Granados with a chainsaw. Besides the regenerators and Iron Maidens, they are the hardest to kill. This one wont be that hard if you use my stratagy of staying in between the bed and railing, but they will end up being alost impervious to your shots and wont even stagger when you shoot them with anything except the shotgun or rifle. For now, wait till he comes to you. Don't wait too long or he'll cut your head off in one hit. Once he gets close, fire a shell into his head, then run up to him while he's on the ground and shoot his head until he dies. If he gets back up, you better run your ass out the window closest to the stairs and shoot him as climbs after you. After killing him, a cutscene will show a bell ringing and all of the Granados will go into one of the buildings and lock the door leaving you all alone to check out the rest of the houses. Go into the house with the padlocked door inside and shoot the lock to go in and get the stuff inside. Then take the path to the left of the locked building and go through the large gate to enter the farm. Here, kill the Granados and then grab the paper on the tree at the beginning of the area to learn about the blue medallions. There are i dont know how many total, about 7 in the farm and 6 in the graveyard. I have only found a few in the farm so I'll just tell you those. I never really bothered to look for them on the map.
1. Hanging on the tree right next to the paper
2. Hanging above the gate on the left
3. Hanging from the spinning fan right on the path fork towards the exit
4. Hanging in the 2 story barn window.
5. Hanging near the animal corral thing with the cows, chickens, and dog.
6. I can't remember, sorry. It was someplace really good though.
Next, save your game at the typewriter in the shack at the entrance. Then go up the ladder to the second story of the barn and climb out the window. Jump off of to the farthest right as you can and you should land in a fenced off area with a breakable box. Break it to get a beer mug thing with places that things can be placed into it. Make sure you save anything like this. It way be tempting to sell but if you save things that say that it looks like something goes into it or it looks like it was once placed in something you will eventually find what goes to it and you will be able to sell some things for 5X more than you could have if it was incomplete. The things that go into this mug are the cateyes. Once you get this push the shelf out of the way to go back out. Go back to the typewriter shack, and next to it is a spoiled well and a locket hanging from it. Shoot the board holding the well cover up. After the cover falls down, shoot teh locket and pick it up. If you shoot it before the well is covered, the locket will get dirty and wont sell for as much. After you leave the farm, you will find yourself at the top of a hill with a bridge overhead. Run down until some Granadas push a boulder behind you. Press L1 and R1 to run and then at the bottom it will change to pressing Square and X to jump out of the way. Immediatly turn around to see a flashing light above you indicating a treasure. Shoot it and continue through the cave not minding the bats flying around you. Before exiting the cave, see if you can shoot the Granada standing outside the house and the one whose head is barely visible through the window in the house. If you dont shoot the one outside, it will throw Dynamite at you. When you kill him or both of them, go into the shack next to you while watching out for traps and the nearby TNT Granada. After you get the stuff in the shack and kill the Granada, go back and go around the RIGHT side of the house. There will be a window in the front you can use to shoot the Granadas in the house. There will be about two TNT ones and at least two normal ones. Wait till the TNT one tries to jump out the window with the TNT lit. Shoot him and he will fall back and by the time he gets back up, the Dynamite should explode killing most if not all of the Granadas. After you get the items in there, go into the house in the back of the area to find Luis in a cabinet and trigger a cutscene where you and him are both captured and you are injected with the Plaga. When Leon wakes up you must press the buttons at the right time when the Granada tried to swing the axe to free yourself. Head down the hallway after Luis runs away to see the salesman walk by the window and signal for you to follow him. Go around the house and buy a rifle from him and a scope. You may also want to buy some First Aid Sprays and upgrade your weapons. Before you open the gate into the canyon, go to the large cracks in the wall and use your rifle to take out the many Granadas patrolling the area. It doesnt matter much if you kill all of the ones you can see because once you get in, there will be several waves of them that will come out of nowhere. Run around the area and get the two halves of the stone key and then combine them in the Key Treasures menu to make the stone circle key to get to the next area.
---------------------------------------------------------STARWARS: BATTLEFRONT I & II---------------------------------------------------------- Okay, since there I cant really tell u how to beat the game here are some of my personal stratagies that work well.
In any space battle, immediatly grab the fastest ship and land in the enemy hanger. From there, drop time bombs on the large computer that controls the defense turrets on the outer of the ship's hull. Resupply at the ammo and heath droids and then go to the sheild generator in the back room. Drop ONE bomb at a time. If you drop more than one, the bomb that detonates first will blow the other one up. You will probably have to go resupply again to finish off the generator. Once that is done, go do the same to the life support systems and engines. Don't try doing this from the outside. Its alot harder to do when the target is so small and you are in constant motion. After you do that, head back to the hangar and grab the enemy's bomber (ex. Tiebomber) and use it to destroy the command bridge, the tower(usually found on the top center of the ships), and any frigates that are following it.
